Yes, buy it. I hesitated when buying a few weeks ago. No regrets today at all purchasing it.

went to get it, spent an hour in the store. was getting a family plan etc. ran credit, everything was fine like it should be. lady was new, screwed it it, started over and it said i owed 150 per line. WRONG. she called and they would help her on the line and wave fees.

i left, we had some shopping to do, i was on the phone for an hour with att/credit. the att guy said that the sales lady ran my credit 10 times. wha wha whaat? lol why the heck did she do that? but that was the issue, so the credit people disreguarded all of that, and went ahead and waved the fees. im heading back to store around noon today to get my iphone.

ugh, only me this would happen to. everything i try to do is a cluster you know what. ex, went to verizon and they screwed my bill up etc for past 5 months. always on phone etc getting things straight. oh well, cant wait to try this bad boy at myself.

any apps i should get right away?

well, heading over here within the next hour.. just tried to use my cell phone (still verizon). it wont work, they ported my number etc and so my phone is shut down. UGH, i swear, im the only one that runs into this kind of crap. TERRIBLE lol

I got mine at bestbuy, was in and out in 10 minutes tops. Nice young lady that activated my phone said if I had gone to the at&t store I would have been there for at least 30 minutes.

well i got my phone, FINALLY.

i was at the store at noon on the button. i didnt leave the store until 3pm est. man, what a joke. ontop of them finally getting the port correct, they couldnt migrate a go phone number to my second line. they said i needed a port etc. i said no its a migration, it turned into a mess. i said, give me a second number and i will worry bout it later. called on way home, customer care said its a migration like i said, called the store and all 3 sales reps said they had no clue how to migrate a number. WTF!! i have to go back to store tomorrow. i already have my account credited 100 dollars for this effin mess!! lol

anyway, so all you iphone peeps. should i unlock my iphone (my buddy said to do it, bc of all the options etc). im just scared i'll eff it up. thoughts on this?

also, could someone link me to all the cool apps etc for unlocked iphones so i could take a peek. i would look through the thread here but watching the game etc..

anything that will help battery life i should know about?

what are the cons of unlocking it? void warranty etc, but other than that. if i had to i can delete the stuff from unlocking it and lock it back up right?

This is a pet peeve of mine. There is a difference between jailbreaking and unlocking. Jailbreaking an iphone just allows you to use Cydia to put non Apple approved apps on your phone. Through Jailbreaking I've added cut and paste, tactile feedback on the buttons and changed the home screen. I'm sorry but anyone who doesnt jailbreak his iphone isnt using the phone to its full use. Plus you can always undo the jailbreak anytime you want to.

Unlocking is using your iphone on other networks like T/Mobile and since you have an AT&T account there is no reason for you to do that.

ohhhhhhhhh i had no clue there was a difference.

so from the looks of it i'll be jailbreaking my phone later. any step by step directions for a dummy like me?

also, what apps should i add after jailbreaking? whats the most popular etc?

i read some things about using that with the wrong iphone update and something about me not being able to use my phone if i screwed up lol
