SpoilerYep, it was the satellite. The rumor is the satellite is what "woke" the creature up. The funny thing was I saw this with a group of 5 people and I was the only one who noticed the satellite. Funny."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams

Re: J.J. Abrams Trailer - "Cloverfield"
There is a really bad, grainy video of it on youtube. I tried watching it and didn't see anything.
SpoilerI don't get how that satellite falling would wake that thing up. I think it's just JJ being JJ and ****ing with us some more. I guess we will see what happens if they keep up with the viral stuff.Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

SpoilerWhat about the folks who didn't follow the viral crap spread out on the net? As much as I appreciate how they did the movie, everyone doesn't go on the internet looking for clues and hang on forums looking for pieces of an up coming movie. Not the greatest way to get things out there in a movie you intentionally left questions in.Comment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Right after his watch beeps, around the 1:27-1:28 mark of the youtube video, you can see a small splash down on the right side of the screen and as soon as it splashes, the camera moves away. I saw it in the theater too. Much easier to see it that wayPS4: aBayBates

Re: J.J. Abrams Trailer - "Cloverfield"
So what's your point? Just because things are unanswered it doesn't mean that it's a big deal or that you have to have followed their online marketing stuff to know anything about the plot or enjoy it. Even people who looked at the different websites still don't know much more than people who didn't follow it.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. You keep talking about something me and ESPN weren't talking about.
Cut the crap about not liking the movie. I think we all liked it and that wasnt the conversation at hand. GeezComment

Re: J.J. Abrams Trailer - "Cloverfield"
Saw it opening night, loved it.
The hand held camera approach really worked, gave the movie a very realistic feel and made it very visceral. There were also some truly tense HOLY CRAP! moments for me at least (can think of two right off the bat), it was great.
Friggin' awesome movie that actually lived up to the hype and was worthy of waiting 6 months for.
Here's hoping that there's a sequel....lots of ways you could go with this story.Patrick Mahomes > GodComment
