But something weird happen when i first go DTV, they gave me the HD feed of the Raiders-Bills game and after it they just cut the HD feed of CBS. Only happen once.

I only get Fox in HD because my local channels signed an exclusive deal with Comca$$$$$$$$$t. Truthfully I don't even think it is legal for them to deny programming to DirecTV.

Apparently said contracts expired last night, within an hour of my post I had all of my locals in HD, although I'm not sure the CBS feed works correctly.

DTV added the HD feeds yesterday for Springfield / Holyoke, MA, I would bet that the contract didn't exist or had already previously expired and DTV was just waiting to add them as they needed to get the uplink setup and tested.


For the poster in Palm Springs, CA, yours are coming in DEC 08.

There was definitely a contract, Comcast used it in their advertising in the area.

After thinking about the switch for a long time, I finally ordered DTV earlier this week. It is suppose to get installed Saturday. I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks. I got the Premier package that DTV is peddling right now. I won't keep all those premiums after the 4 months, but it gives me NFL Sunday Ticket and they threw in Superfan and the HD Access for free. Hopefully my area gets the HD locals soon, but I have an antenna in the attic that picks up the HD locals just fine (I'm only 6 miles from the towers).

So the first thing I will watch on DTV will probably be the Auburn game Saturday night and then Sunday I'll get to see just how cool that Superfan access for NFL ST is.

I got the exact same deal in mid August when I signed up. Direct TV is glorious. You simply can't beat it if you love HD.

If anybody is on the fence, the Sunday Ticket deal ends on the 31st. The new winter offer kicks in 10/8 and there will be a little bit of an overlap, so keep that in mind if you can't decide.

Im glad i have Dish, as quirky as some of their equipment can be, their HD DVR's are great IMO.

Do SD channels still look pretty good on Dish's HD receivers? I'm about to get the 722 I think. Just got an LCD and hoping it makes the picture look significantly better than the 522 I have currently.

Enjoy Sunday Ticket while it's free, at $250 + $100 for HD games it's just too much for me to pay.

I'll have for the rest of this NFL season since basically the deal is you pay the 4 monthly installments for NFL ST and you get all the other DTV programming for free. I'm becoming more and more of an NFL fan each year that there continues to be a BCS, so I'm looking forward to it! We'll see if I renew for next year.

Got DTV with the sunday ticket package last week, Dunno if it included the superfan thing or not since I signed up online. didn't have to pay anything upfront though. got 1 HD-dvr and 3 regular boxes though. Also ordered the NHL center ice!

Lucky you, Ive been with Directv for over a year now and still cant get a HD-DVR free, sometimes I get really irritated with the customer service and how they will give things away for free while wanting me to pay 100.00-200.00 just for the privelage of leasing their equipment.
