I've been doing the same thing, as well as naming songs correctly for ones I've downloaded in the past. Is there any way to get album art and whatnot for songs not downloaded through iTunes? I haven't gotten a thing from iTunes yet, so all that cover flow stuff means nothing unless I can somehow name my songs right (or whatever) to let me update.

What works for me is that I just copy the song name and album name the way they are shown on the iTunes store then use the 'Get Album Artwork'. It works as long as you have an iTunes account, the music doesn't have to be bought from there.

I see the 4g iPhone is a hundred dollars cheaper, but is it worth it? Didn't you guys say they were going to get away from the smaller iPhones?

They did that to get rid of them. They are no longer making them so if you want one, you better get one now. If 4 GB is enough for you, then yes, it's definitely worth it.

How many songs could the 4g hold? Would I be missing out on stuff in the future with the smaller version they are getting rid of?

Search for the CD through Amazon.com. If you find it, click "See larger image". Copy the image, go into iTunes, select the song, and click "Paste" in the blank spot in the lower left corner.

Actually, I found a place last night with excellent album art. As soon as I can get on my other PC where I saved the bookmark, I'll post it here.

I used the itunes art importer. It works great.

I'm not too sure how some of my songs were tagged or what, but some of the Art Download features weren't allowing the pics to import from their server so I had to manually import some 60+ album covers.

I imported the wrong album cover to a few songs accidentally. How can I delete the album art without deleting the song?

go into itunes, right click on 'get info' then there is an artwork tab that has a delete button

Thanks for the album art info guys, i'll look into it. Might take a lot of time renaming stuff right, but could be worth it too

Rate Your Music

Just type the artists name on the upper right hand dialog box and click on the button next to artist. This will take you to a page with all the albums ever released for that artist, click on the album title and then you will get cover art.

Somehow I trimmed my collection down to 22 GB over the weekend... and I'm only to letter P. It's ridiculous how many duplicates of songs I had. I mean EXACT duplicates.

Deleted them from my computer as well... saves me a good amount of space.

I have one thing to say:

F*** Apple.

So i break down and buy the 80 GB Ipod Classic and put my old one on Ebay. It looks nice and I love coverflow (a little slow but its nice) so I'm happy. I go to work, turn on my TV and hook my ipod up to it so that I can watch 30 Rock while I'm doing work. Go to video settings and try to turn the TV Out function on and I cant. I keep pressing the button and it wont turn on. So I go to Google and search to see if any one else is having this problem.

It seems that Apple is forcing people to buy either its 40 dollar universal dock or its 50 buck component cable to use the TV out function. 3rd party cables no longer work with the ipod classic, touch or nano. So now I have to pay 50 bucks more just to use the TV out function.
