Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Nah I'm playing this is niceOriginally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I'm really shocked not to see Nas on either of these huge releases. Imagine...
Empire State of Mind (feat. Nas, Alicia Keys)
and
Verbal Intercourse II (feat. Ghostface Killah, Nas)
That'd be sick. For the first one, I'm sure Nas would body Jay on a track like that having already made three New York State of Mind songs... the third one having A Keys sing the hook (Streets of NY).
As for the second, Wikipedia claims that Nas wanted to do a Verbal Intercourse sequel though I find it hard to believe that in the 10 years it took to make this album, they couldn't find time to hook up. Oh well.
Beasties' don't need him. Put him in the album fine. But not on the first single.
Kinda like Duran Duran using Justin Timberlake and Timbaland (sp?) on their most recent album....why? You don't need 'em. And it didn't help. Still tanked.
Beasties are "made" guys. They shouldn't have to look for free agents to help 'em out.
Now their single with Q-Tip back in the day was fresh! This one just seems like a reach.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Seeing all these features makes me sick.
Him getting Empire of the Sun is just
Talk about trying to get as many $$$ as possible without caring about the actual content.
This will be the worse album in his library, book it.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Blueprint 3 is pretty weak... I don't know why Jay Z isn't bringing his A game anymore. And yea he def should've had Nas on there.
I like the song with Kid Cudi though
The dynasty will return
Paul Pierce... talent + heart + toughness = The Truth

I've been around Hip Hop forever and still nothing compares to early- mid 90's east coast hip hop.....Sage fits in well with that era's music.Comment
