Been looking forward to oxymoron all year but I feel like because all the hype on that as the next black hippy album we've had new material from the rest of the group pushed to the background. No black hippy albums the whole 2013??

Jmood's Favorite Rapper throwing a tantrum:

Wale threatened Complex staff in a phone conversation that took place Wednesday (December 11), according to complex.com.
Wale, upset by his album The Gifted being omitted from the publication's "50 Best Albums of 2013" list, discussed his omission by saying it's an indication of a petty grudge against him.
"Do you think y'all being a responsible publication by continuously to ****in' like...do all that petty ****?" Wale says in a phone recording of the conversation, which can be heard below. "At this point, you know it's got to be personal. You tellin' me it's not personal is like a bold face lie. To be omitted from every type of list that y’all do or be at the bottom of it or every type of way that y’all can omit me, y'all will."
Wale, who says he has "had no interaction with the company in years," became increasingly upset.
"You mean to tell me Juicy J's album [Stay Trippy] is better than mine?" Wale says.
"Boy, don't play me, man," Wale adds. "I came at you civil right now, but it can go completely in another direction. Right now, respect me, dog. Respect me, dog."
During the conversation, Wale also threatens the Complex staff.
"**** you, dog," he says. "You know it's disrespect. I swear to God I’ll come to that office and start knocking ****** the **** out. Y'all wanna see some ghetto ignorant ****? That's what y'all promote. That's the only thing y'all promote from ******.
"I'll see y'all tomorrow," Wale adds. "How about that? Get the security ready."
Insanul Ahmed, the Complex staff member who spoke with Wale during this conversation, reported on the threats.
"When I tried to explain how our lists are formulated, Wale cut me off," Ahmed said in a Complex report today (December 13). "Contrary to Wale's claims, Complex does not hold any personal bias towards him or any other artist. Wale's album was considered for our list, along with many other albums, but it did not make the cut. Furthermore, Wale has made a number of Complex lists this year. His song 'LoveHate Thing' was #24 on our list of 'The Best Songs of 2013 (So Far).' We also list his mixtape, The Mixtape About Nothing, #20 on our list of 'The 50 Best Rapper Mixtapes.' And finally, earlier this year, we had him on our list of 'The 20 Best Rappers in Their 20s.'"
Wale earned his first #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart with The Gifted. In its first week, Wale earned the top spot and sold more than 158,000 units, according to billboard.com. The project earned a 4/5 in its HipHopDX review.
Wale's phone conversation with Complex can be heard below.

Lol, I thought that was your favorite rapper. Dude got heated real quick though, like Kanye did with Sway. Almost made me think it was some kind of stunt.

Can't embed from Complex but here's the link to the audio.

After seeing the list, I think Wale has a legitimate beef. He didn't have to single out my man Juicy J and all, but I agree with the spirit. I don't think it was a good list, just my opinion of course.

That was by far the best part.

Juicy J's album actually has more plays in my iTunes than Wale's...

Not surprised with Wale though. He rants on twitter all the time and he's almost on Kanye's level when it comes to irrelevant rants.

I mean dude had a twitter beef with freaking David Otunga..

This all reminded me that I still haven't even listened to The Gifted.

Anyways, gonna go all Canada here for a second. Hopefully I haven't posted any of these yet because if I did, I forgot.

Agreed. It was bad to the point that on one hand I was like he shouldn't even care. On the other I get his beef though.
