I gave TPAB my full attention yesterday and I have to say, it's growing on me. I still don't know what to think, but I didn't give it the justice it needed on first listen.

Anyone got a link to that Action Bronson?

So apparently Lupe is working on The Cool 2 and Skulls - NICE! I thought that Black Vietnam project with S1 was next though? T&Y was good when it released, but the more I have listened the more I love it.

Check this article out for those that are a little slower like myself and need some help understanding everything that's going on in TPAB http://genius.com/Genius-an-exegetic...tterfly-lyrics

It's a great exegesis of the album.

It's a good album but I admit that the over analyzing of this album is/has been a bit much. I've seen it here and on Twitter and other message boards as well.

Action Bronson major label debut is a dud.

TPAB is a great album; best since GKMC. Exactly what hip hop needed right now and I don't see any other release topping it this year. I agree it is being over analyzed on the net though.

I don't know. It's definitely a really, really good album as well, but personally I stopped listening to it not too long ago. Obviously TPAB is still new and fresh, but there's really never been many albums where I just sit back and play them all the way top to bottom consistently. This is actually one of those albums for me so far.

It's surprising too because I never really cared much for the jazzy/funk side of Kendrick's music. For some reason though I'm just loving the hell out of this album. And I haven't even really fully taken it in lyrically yet.

It's all subjective obviously. Personally Testuo & Youth hasn't left my iPod since it dropped. That album was much more stimulating and covered just as many hot button issues as TPAB supposedly did.

As I've already said, I personally think TPAB is hot garbage , but I can respect people who appreciate it. Hell, I'm happy for them because at least they didn't wait 3 years for something they will never push play on again.

I also don't think it is correct to call this album Hip-Hop. I feel like this is more avant garde neo soul/jazz than anything. I wonder if the same people that were upset about Macklemore being included in the Hip-Hop category and winning will be as upset as this being included when it comes to the award shows. Would be mighty hypocritical, but that is pretty much standard these days.
