Yeah but ant man has a buzz for the simple fact that the avengers movie needs him if they keep making more. Same with Black Panther.

      Avengers has raised the bar.

Can this movie top it? I don't know, but I bet damn well they are going to try.

      Such a good movie season.

The trailer alone makes me confident enough to say they will do just that.

Then again, they're two different movies. Nolan's Batman is cerebral; The Avengers is pure fan-service. They're both great in their own right.

I wonder when they'll start selling tickets for IMAX.

Ah was just curious, they haven't started selling them in Austin yet.

The nearest IMAX theater is 115 miles away. Looks like I'll be driving to Tuscaloosa in July.

I can only imagine how packed the theatres will be, for this.

I'll do my best to be there day/night one. IMAX is a must, but I don't care about 3D

                      Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I might end up seeing this in a regular theater first. It kind of helps to not be distracted by anything like shifting AR, so to speak. At least that way, I wouldn't be disappointed watching it in theaters a second time if I went from IMAX to regular, going "Awww they didn't shift here!" Plus, I'll wait for the hype to die down... at least a week lol.

Although, I plan on seeing it at midnight, so I'll definitely have to go to a regular screening at that point.

Changing aspect ratio really distracts you that much? I've never seen anyone get that bothered by it.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I actually find that the best part of IMAX feature films. Made the big moments that much larger when I saw MI:4
