"Heavy." That's what came to mind watching this trailer. I felt the same way after seeing TDK for the first time. Awesome stuff. I'll have to try and do the Imax thing for this one.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
This movie is looking fantastic, kind of a bummer that its the end of the trilogy already. Hoping they can get Nolan to come back for a new trilogy since it worries me on where this goes next.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I've been waiting 3 years for this movie!!!Kind of bittersweet though as this most likely will be the end of the Nolan Batman universe.I know Bale said this would also be his last Batman flick but who knows, money talks even though Nolan is the type that wants to do his own thing and doesnt seem to be willed into anything by money.Anyways, hopefully it is a worthy sequel to TDK and a great conclusion.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Batman's voice might be about the same as The Dark Knight, but I'm sure they got the right cuts each time and you won't ever wonder what he grumbled. I personally don't have a problem with the voice, but I know a lot of people here do.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
On a slightly related note, it makes you wonder if this will be about the sound of Bane's voice in the final cut of the film. His voice in trailer #2 was significantly different than it is now (and I actually found the more digitized sound to be more sinister in some ways, though it was much more difficult to understand), and supposedly even that was different sounding than the IMAX prologue as well. So, they might still be tweaking that. I hope they find the right combination of "clear/understanding" and "menacing/bad-***."

Trailer #3 is definitely clearer but lost that effect that makes him sound so unique. Either way sounds good, though I'm hoping they'd have alternate audio for Bane in the eventual blu-ray release. Just so we can scrutinize Nolan's original intent versus viewers asking him to clean it up.
As for Batman's voice, I always liked it. I never thought it sounded silly until people made parodies of it and even then, I associate the voice with this Batman so much that it really doesn't bother me.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Pretty sure Bane's voice in the newest trailer is what they're going with in the final cut of the movie.
As for Bale's Batman voice, I didn't have a problem with it in Batman Begins but in The Dark Knight there were a few moments where it was too difficult to understand (the "I'm not wearing hockey pads" scene and the scene where he's talking to Gordon in the bank vault).Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Understanding Bale wasn't the problem with his voice. In some scenes, it was just a bit too much gruff and cheesy. In Begins he sounded like a demon, some kind of animal, but in parts of TDK he just felt worn down and not as intimidating. In terms of the story it makes sense, but I don't think it was intended to serve that purpose.
I agree that I liked the earlier version of Bane's voice a little more because it wasn't clear and it was that mysterious angle that made him seem even more menacing. The "new voice" is understandable and Bane is still menacing, so I don't think it really hinders the film or the character.

Still REAL excited for this movie but that trailer didn't build my excitement at all. Probably just me being stupid.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I was just thinking something, I wonder how well a Justice League movie would work? I mean you have a Batman Movie, Green Lantern movie(), Superman Movie soon. All you would really need is a Flash and Wonder Woman Movie then get them all to agree on it.
It would be interesting to say the least but maybe thats just wishful thinking on my part seeing how awesome The Avengers turned out.

Something tells me it wouldn't be that great. The JL comics themselves aren't that great. They're too all over the place with multi universes, a million characters, and a lot of stuff that wouldn't be good movie wise.
On the other hand the discontinued Batman/Superman comics are awesome. I think those two on screen would be interesting but I don't think 2 hours is enough time for those two icons.
