Personally I'd rather just wait to see it with the whole movie.

There is a rumor going around now that its only being shown in actual IMAX theaters. Digital projections won't be showing it.

And there, I guess, is where "In Nolan we trust" comes in. He made a Batman, a Joker and a Two-Face as believable as they can be. What's another two?

I'm hoping you're right.

The thing is, I loved Spiderman 1 and 2. Sam Raimi did an awesome job making every character believable.
Then there came Spiderman 3. Raimi, like Nolan, had an open check and everyone knew the movie would sell well regardless. And yet, he felt the need to throw in multiple villains and a terrible storyline. I was really disappointed.

I'm worried this will be the same here.

Also, I've always kind of hated all the gadgets that Batman has. The best comics were when it was just him, the shadows and his fists. Maybe a batarang.
When I see pics of a bat-copter and then more picks of a high-heeled, pointed-ear cat burglar, I start to worry.

I've made my feelings about TDK known here and I worry that Nolan will only ratchet up the non-believable portions of this series.
I hope I'm wrong.

All the gadgets is a part of who/what Batman is. It wouldn't be a complete representation of him without that. The fact that they're all real world gadgets and not some random fantasy stuff makes them even more acceptable to have in the movies. The only gadget I had a problem with was the sonar system but that was mainly because of what it did to Batman's eyes.

To your Spider-Man 3 comparison, I worry about that too. The difference is that it was the Sony producers that forced all (or most of) that nonsense into Spider-Man 3. I don't think that will be the case here.

Frankly, after the long wait to even confirm that it was being made, I became disinterested, especially when there were rumors that Nolan was walking away from the series. Im not going to sift through 150 pages, all I want is one answer, who are the confirmed villians? If there is no Riddler, I'm going to be extra pissed.

Also, I see JLG is in it. Niiiceeee.

I was playing Arkham City, and Bane's profile card had him at 5'5 145lbs when not on venom? Did the comics change the backstory on him?

The director also spoke about the choice of Bane as the villain. "With Bane, we're looking to give Batman a challenge he hasn't had before. With our choice of villain and with our choice of story we're testing Batman both physically as well as mentally."

Nolan also discussed the villain's fighting style of the physically imposing antagonist. "He's brutal. Brutal. He's a big dude who's incredibly clinical, in the fact that he has a result-based and oriented fighting style. It's not about fighting. It's about carnage. The style is heavy-handed, heavy-footed, it's nasty. Anything from small-joint manipulation to crushing skulls, crushing rib cages, stamping on shins and knees and necks and collarbones and snapping heads off and tearing his fists through chests, ripping out spinal columns. He is a terrorist in mentality as well as brutal action."

Empire also spoke to the film's costume designer Lindy Hemming, who revealed the reason for Bane's mask. "He was injured early in his story. he's suffering from pain and needs gas to survive. Wow this sounds great and the timeline will be cool to see how Bats has fallen off physically.I wish there was an IMax theater near to me so I could check that out on 12/21/11
