Re: The Dark Knight Rises
SpoilerDent mentions Carmine Falcone is in Arkham while trying to prosecute Salvatore Maroni in The Dark Knight.
Batman also tells The Joker he'll "be in a padded cell forever" while on the top floor of the construction building, pretty much implying that's where he's going.Last edited by Blzer; 07-21-2012, 08:50 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Speaking of Arkham, Arkham Asylum is such a great name for a prison/institution.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Nolan said there would be no mention of the Joker at all because of how good his relationship with Heath was an he didn't want to disrespect the tragedy that happened.
Plus, it's been eight years...if he hadn't broken out by then there's no reason to talk about him.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Just got back from seeing it, not quite sure what to think. My initial reaction is 7/10. Thought the story was a bit overreaching. Really like what Nolan did with Bane and Catwoman. Hardy and Hathaway were excellent.HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I went into this movie thinking that nothing could ever top Heath Ledger's Joker, but I walked away feeling that Hardy's Bane might be the best villian character in a movie period.
I actually feared him throughout the movie and it took a much more serious turn to his personality whenSpoilerMiranda was revealed as Ghoul's kid.
I loved Bane and I loved Batman's failure to beat him. It made him that much more of a feared character.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
After watching it a 2nd time in IMAX, my opinion of this film has risen considerably! I guess I was too tough on this movie. This film is definitely my favorite of the trilogy once I was able to catch everything I missed the 1st time.Huge Fan of the New Orleans Saints & New Orleans Pelicans!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Just got back from seeing it with a buddy of mine and I have to say, the movie was awesome. I'm still sort of high on it, it was definitely the best movie of the year, yet now that i've sat down and thought about it a bit and cooled off (some major spoilers):
SpoilerI didn't like the constant time skips. I didn't mind the initial 8 year gap from the second movie, but they made another time skip with Bruce being away that just didn't feel right, and compared to The Dark Knight, i felt as if this one was a bit over the place. The scenes jumped around a bit. Not exactly sure how to explain it but it needed more transition scenes.
On the actual story and characters, this is definitely up there tied with The Dark Knight. Bane was just insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just the sound of his voice and jesters and movements were awesome. And when he did kick the crap out of Batman, that fight scene just felt real. I was pained seeing Bruce get his butt kicked like that.
I don't want to sound like i'm a know it all here, but the scene where Bruce was sleeping with the chick.....I was thinking to myself, can she be Talia........cause I know in the animated series and comics he has a thing for her, but soon after that scene i completely forgot about it and started believing Ral had a son until the actual revelation. That scene was just awesome.
And when every thought Bruce had actually died at the end, I actual ended up feeling somewhat emotional......but I like how they put things together to allow him to have his happen ending and allow Blake to become "Night-Wing" ;-)
The movie was awesome though, but after some consideration, I would rank them:
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight Rises
Batman BeginsComment
