I don't think that Miles could have had a hand in that. Because Miles is in part what he is because his dad did send him away. Regardless of what Miles does right now, his Mom and him would have been separated from his dad.

I think next week's show is one of the extras from the Season 4 DVDs. Worth watching if you haven't seen it, though don't expect anything too exciting.

I'm going to say Pierre sends them away right before the purge. Miles understood at he sent them away because he didn't want to see them - but it ends up he send them away to protect them.

Yeah, I am sure that his Dad found something he thought as being "dangerous" when digging near the wheel.

All indications were his dad cared for him.

So where did Faraday go again when Charlotte passed on?

Did he go through some wormhole and get back on the Sub in the United States?

Well, if Miles does have a hand in it, this goes back to the chicken and the egg circular time line theory we've been discussing here for awhile. Miles could have given Chang a reason to abandon him as a child.

But, I don't think that's what happens. I think Miles is too hip to the whole idea and knows that he couldn't affect anything. Of course, for all we know (assuming this circular theory is true) Miles trying to avoid thinking he could change time could play a role in him affecting Chang's decision.

Chang takes Miles somewhere now, right? I wouldn't be surprised if they both have a discussion that makes Chang tell his wife to take her child off the Island.

I'm going to assume he took that sub that Sawyer and Juliet decided not to take.

I said it somewhere else (probably not on this board), but my thinking is that Faraday was back in Oxford being a crazy professor again and trying to find a way back on the Island.

Gotta be something else. Purge happens circa 1992. We are in 1977 right now. Miles would be 15 when he gets sent away. Can't be the Purge.

But, I agree that it's something dangerous.

Any coincidence that the main character on Frequency was Jack Shepard and the Elizabeth Mitchell played the mother? Probably already been discussed.
I've read about this before and signs point to it being an Easter Egg from the producers. Something that came from the character having the same name so hiring the mother to play along with it.

Thanks for the link. I remember reading that as well but completely forgot about it.

It had come up on the lostpedia site around the summer time of last year, I think.

I guess there are 2 ways to look at it:

                        1. The circular reference.(Which can make your head explode) is that everything happened up until the point of flight 815 because they went back in time after the crash of 815 and as a result of their actions in the past, everything now is happening.

                        2. Everything happened up until flight 815. They went back in time, and actively partcipated in the past, but could not change the outcome of what was to be. I.E. even if Sayid didn't shoot Ben, he still would have ended up injured and in the hands iof the others, etc.

I tend to think the latter because #1 has no start point to all of this story, its a circle. WHere #2 has the start point of the crash.

If #1 was true, you'd have a back to the future, frequency scenario and I think that many things like Sawyer would have jumped in that sub and gone back and killed the Con Man and rescued the young Sawyer hiding under the bed, etc.

All the Losties would have done something in the past to effect the future if given the chance because they are all "lost souls", victims of someone else's actions. If they could go back and unwind those critical moments, they would.

So I guess the DI is back in 2005 or w/e year it was during that time line.

Well the Dharma intiative is going on in the outside world. They keep dropping food to the island. I think Ben has it rigged so they they don't know the purge happened.

How else would Hurley be able to guzzle ranch dressing if not for those Dharma air drops?

Which begs the question, once the island is moved, you would think that the air drop plane could no longer find the island. And all Hell would break loose for the exisiting Dharma initiative in the outside world.

no I have to disagree, I believe in 2005-2007 time dharma is well aware that they no longer control the island. remember the dharma station in LA where hawkins met with be and jack, no dharma in site and thats off island. if anything, they are "regrouping/ under the radar.

The food drops came from the island. I think there was a cache somewhere and the food drops launched when something triggered them. the only time a drop happened is when they put the hatch in lockdown mode, there were no signs of aircraft or anything.
