Looks like the hatch lockdown was likely to cause this. Says the Flame computer could trigger it as well with the proper command.

I didn't notice the Dharma patches on the van guys, good catch.

What part is that scene from? It's not from when they throw Miles in the van. Is it earlier in the episode?

I just finished rewatching season 1 over the weekend. I've never liked Jack as a character, but I especially hated him early on. He acts on emotion too much. He's like watching a woman.

Haven't you noticed how much he has changed this season?

Except for most of the Tailies, I never disliked a character on LOST.

Something hit me when I was watching the Lost recap. Fistofrage and a few others might like this.

I'm not taking credit for suggesting that the Losties transported to the Island in the first crash, but now I'm thinking that it's a very strong possibility. And I think the very first scene of Lost is the kicker.

When the Losties returned on Flight 316, they were all spread out on the Island. Jack wakes up in the middle of the jungle and starts walking. You can probably already see where I'm going with this.

This is Jack's very first scene on Lost. He wakes up in the middle of the jungle for no real reason. Other people were throw on top of trees. The Tailies fell onto a different part of the Island. But, Jack was just placed elsewhere, almost like he teleported there.

Man, I think you guys that thought of this are really onto something.

I posted this way back, that the flight 815 could have been some type of recreation of another commercial flight. Like they tried to recreate 815 with 316. There are some that flashed and others that crashed.

I thought it was more about Locke flashing during flight 815 though. He was the one that was specifically guided to be on 815.

The one thing that would make me believe that Jack may not have flashed onto the island during 815 is because he was injured and Kate had to stitch him up. It would appear that if you flash you do not get injured.

He's been through so much and made so many mistakes that I think he's grown as a person. I've definitely seen some change in him but I'm still not much of a Jack fan.

Jack's pretty much a tool. I was hoping him and the Smirk would ride off into the sunset and never be heard from again. They could take Kate with them too.

I liked the other characters so much more. Unfortunately, the last season is going to be all about Jack. He knows what the ending is so he'll be in character the rest of the show.

I, too, have thought of the idea that some may have flashed during 815, especially when they flashed during 316. Like you guys have mentioned, the fact that Jack was out in the jungle when just about everyone else was on the beach was quite peculiar. I'll leave the hardcore theories to you guys though! I just like forming little theories in my head and not sharing them. Then I get blown away the next episode. lol

As for Jack's character... I actually like his character alot. I think Matthew Fox delivered one hell of a performance in the season 3 finale. As Pared said, the fact that he draws so much attention has got to be something.

I think many questions will be answered once Claire comes back into the picture.

On episode 10 of season 1, Claire had a vision where Locke spoke to her. In this vision John said, "he was your responsibility but you gave him away, everyone pays the price now."

Claire hadn't even given birth to Aaron at this point, yet alone given him away. However, John spoke to her in the past tense. It really started twisting my head thinking about these timelines.

Exactly... people don't see him as Matthew Fox, he's "Jack." And they love/hate him accordingly.

Certainly a testament to his skill in his trade. Michael Emerson is just as amazing.

There are certainly other characters that portray their character as well, despite not having equal face time. Jose Garcia stands out above all the other "B" characters in the show for me.

Yeah he was great in that movie. Totally different role for Fox.

Actually, I think Ben does the best job of intentionally being annoying and drawing out hate and frustration of anyone I've seen since maybe "Erkel".

Ben does a great job of making me want to scream sometimes. I guess Jack does to. I guess I just figured Jack's character was unintentionally annoying. But if thats what he's going for, he does a great job.

And I am sure he'll be running this show the rest of the way out.
