I have no idea how this would affect the plot of the show, but I thought this was an interesting theory a co-worker and I came up with today.

When Miles told Faraday he had a nosebleed, Faraday said he thought it had something to do with exposure to the island. Miles told him he'd only been there for 2 weeks and Faraday responded "Are you sure?"

The first episode of this season started with the asian Dharma doctor waking up to a crying baby. We think that baby was Miles.

Yep, so that probably means the seventy hours was how long they have to get back before the original characters start to get nosebleeds.

I wonder who was shooting at them? I think it was the Oceanic 6 doing it.

Been there and/or have a connection to the island via someone else (e.g. a parent).

Now if we're going by length of time on the island, we can only assume (as of now) Miles has been there the longest. Charlotte, not so sure. Then next is Juliet.

Now if those 70 hours are related to the nosebleeds, it could also mean the amount of time they have left before something serious (like dying) starts to happen to them. Makes sense, O6 can't find the island after 70 hours and there wouldn't be anyone to save.

Of course, I could be dead wrong. Fun.

But didn't we see Faraday on the island back when the Asian doctor and the Dharma initiative were there? He was in the orchid right? So we know he's been there before too. So Charlotte and Miles have been there before Faraday? So they may have been born there or have been little kids there during the Dharma initiative?

Obviously we don't know, but it sure is fun trying to figure it out and coming up with all the theories. The Miles as a baby theory is very interesting.

That was my very first thought when I saw Chang with the baby. I'm thinking Daniel's comment to Miles proves this to be true.

I'm also beginning to wonder if Daniel was born on the Island. I'm still convinced that Ellie was his mother. The other theory out there is that Widmore is his father. I wouldn't be surprised.

Good thought about Miles being the baby. I'm pretty convinced now that he was. Maybe can be lead in to explain his special power in talking to dead people.

I'm thinking of watching all the episodes again but man that's a lot of work. Maybe I should take notes this time. Ha

Alright, major inconsistancies here:

1. How could Sawyer see Kate and Claire on the island when Kate isn't on the island. I thought if you were on the island when it travelled, you could then only transcend time.
2. OK, if you say he can see Kate because Kate's alive, well Rousseau is dead right? Well did is dead as far as I undertand, just like Locke's leg wound trannscends time, so would the death of Rousseau.
3. If Death doesn't transcend time then where is Boone? He should have been at the plane with Locke. And where are the other dead Losties for that matter.

Everything that happens in the past on the island can't be changed. It runs the same path just now with the Losties involved. Sawyer saw Kate delivering Claire's baby, as why Locke didn't go to the hatch to see the light, because Locke and Boone would've been there at that time. As far as Boone being with Locke at the plane, they didn't find the plane until years after it crashed, not when it crashed like Locke did when he went back, it was 2 totally different times.

Wasn't Sun in that segment though? So, how does she play into that with the baby? Does she go back in time after they come back to the island and fall in love with Chang?
