Any Jon & Kate watchers out there?
I had the misfortune of watching this tripe once since my wife likes watching it. I immediately got tired of the wife's crap and wished horrible and painful things on her. Apparently so did her husband, lol

Ive seen a ton of this show thanks to my other half really enjoying it. You really blew that one out of the water, at what point did he wish horrible and painful things on his wife? They wont last, not because of the kids or the way she acts towards him but because having it all out there for the world to see is going to make it next to impossible to live a normal life now. At the end of the last season Jon was already saying he didnt want to do another season and that he had just had enough of it while Kate was hinting that a decision hadnt been made. I think the biggest problem is she enjoys the attention and the ability to travel, get freebies from having the show and basically getting paid for having those kids while Jon liked it initially but hates having everything out there now for everyone to critique, not to mention the inability to lead a normal life and go out in public without people approaching you constantly. I wish them nothing but the best but its going to take a miracle for them to make this work, imo. -

When I would see his expressions sometimes, his looks just said, "I'm gonna wind up killing this broad". The real losers are the kids... You just can't have a normal childhood like that with all the cameras and stuff following you around.
The wife ain't bad to look at, but jeez, could you be a little bit more of a shrew?Comment

No worries... I have two boys myself, and I can't imagine raising them with a camera following me around all the time. You have to be pretty grounded to make a success of that, and from what I've read, they (the parents) seem to have gotten caught up in all the trappings of celebrity.Comment

Oh yeah, no doubt.... If I had 8 kids all under the age of 8, and was married to a broad like that, I'd be out drinking on the regular...Comment

Re: Any Jon & Kate watchers out there?
I've seen this show from time to time and since I can remember, she was always treating him like he was a child. My mom and sister watch the show as well and when I told them what happened today, they weren't surprised that he was caught. They would say that he was going to leave her, because of the way she treated him, but that he would have to pay a lot of child support.
Like you guys have said, the attention the show brought on him was too much for him to handled and she just took it all in and benefited from the show. I wouldn't be surprised if they got divorced, but in the end the kids suffer the most.Comment

His wife get's on my nerves. She does treat him like a child, and a few times I've had my wife sort of do the same thing at which point I tell you better stop watching Jon & Kate plus 8...
I'll get her in check, and she'll realize that she was crossing some lines but I don't know to what extent this Jon gets his wife in check off camera.
I remember my wife telling me that he was getting mad w/ her over her wanting to do another season, and him wanting to step away from it all.
I mean since the show I think they've had 3 houses, and went from a little minivan to a freaking school bus. They've had some success, and I think it's time they focus on them. However, it doesn't seem like the wife wants that.
She's wrapped up into being a reality celeb or something...
I hope they can work it out, and stay together like Al Green would want them to.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

I doubt he checks her off camera. She seems too comfortable punking him on camera, like that's her M.O.Comment

Re: Any Jon & Kate watchers out there?
My wife and I watch the show as well... She got me hooked. I agree about Kate...she's a real pain in the ***. If my wife treated me even one-third as bad as Kate treats Jon, I'd get a divorce.
She's told me a number of things that she read about Kate.
1. They have a chef and maid. So when Kate is always complaining about having no time to do anything because she's always doing laundry and making meals etc... she's full of it. She has help to take care of most of it.
2. The crew that films the show state that Kate is a headache off camera as well. We see some of it during the show where she bosses them around for having too many people in her space, but some of the crew have stated she's even worse off of it. Very snobby and demanding.
3. Anyone remember Aunt Jodi? She was on the show frequently at the beginning helping with the kids? She's disappeared in recent seasons. From what my wife read, the producers wanted to pay her to be on the show and for helping out. She was doing all of it for free before. When the producers suggested this, Kate got pissed and said that no one gets paid on the show except for the immediate family. So Kate said Aunt Jodi wasn't allowed to be on the show anymore.
Whether any of it is true or not is anyone's guess.Comment

I work for Discovery (owns TLC) and most of the stuff there is not true. I'm a little biased because they pay my bills but alot of the rumors I've heard about Kate are overblown.Comment
