I'll see ya later or I'll see ya on another time.

My favorite thing from the movie, though, is the reaction after Peter goes "Okay. Beatles, Stones?".

Ah yeah that's amazing. I like when Paul Rudd and Rashida Jones are debating about the licking of the basses at the Rush concert.

I just watched Moon on Netflix. Pretty good movie; a little predictable, but a good story and some good acting. I started to feel claustrophobic and trapped during the last half - did a good job.

The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus - just got around to seeing this one, and wow. I guess I am missing the boat on the "genius" of the director on this one. This movie was a hot mess IMO and I just could not get into it at all. I mean, the the story seemed to just feel disjointed and off balance. Ledger was ok I guess, but the dude who played the devil... blah, he came off like one of those actors on the SyFy channel and I use the term "actor" loosely. Terrible movie IMO. Glad I got it on Netflix for free....

Caddyshack - I watched this last night. Hilarious movie, obviously. Bill Murray is wonderful and that whole side-story is magical. Tons of great quotes too.

The Prestige - Nothing really to add to it other than its a great film and still fun to watch.

Drag Me To Hell - this was my first time watching it since the I saw at the theater and I think I like it even more. Raimi does a great job of building up suspense and literally using nothing to give you creeps. Not to mention Raimi's classic sense of comedy with the talking goat and the whole old lady fight. Love it.

              Green Zone - 7.8

Don't get me wrong, awesome movie with good action and well pace, its just that it did nothing new, and we get loads of these types of movies all the time.

However it does make one start to ponder though. I know nothing is always a conspiracy, however how much do we really know about whats happening in the middle east in general. Personally i'm pretty uninformed and i'm pretty sure a lot of the public is as well. Its interesting how sometimes movies can make you ponder on the real issues of the world.

                  Man, I love having Netflix.

Just finished watching District 9 and wow. Amazing movie all around, perhaps one of my new favorites.

Watched Superman on A&E for the umpteenth time. When I was younger I remember spending all day watching multiple viewings of the movie when it came out at the movie theater (WAY before cable was prevalent, On Demand, the internet, etc.).

I was watching it yesterday and still amazed at how well it was casted, the pacing, the special effects, the music, etc. It's so good it can be forgiven for it's "reversing time by changing the Earth's rotation" moment. I love the iconic country images of Clark Kent as a teen in Kansas and how the movie completely shifts tone when it goes to New York. Christopher Reeve was perfectly cast; a clumsy goof as Clark Kent yet very believable as Superman. I never thought Margot Kidder was "glamorous" enough for Lois Lane but she captures her attitude/spunk perfectly. Love Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, just hilarious. Just a very funny, entertaining movie. Richard Donner did a great job with it
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

                      Toy Story 3

It is rare that we see a second sequel that really works, and by that I mean that across the board, the consensus is positive. There were high marks for Return of the King, I'll give you that. But especially in an animated movie market, it is extremely rare that you'll see a movie franchise garner a second sequel in theaters. The only one to come to mind before TS3 would be Shrek, which I must admit the third movie was a stinker and looking back at the franchise I can't really say that I enjoy it that much anymore.

Something is always different with Pixar; you can call me a fanboy of theirs or what have you, but I just happen to be a fan of what they put out. Granted, I have not seen Monsters, Inc. and I consider Cars and UP to be sub-par compared to the rest of them (but on the market they still soar above most all other animated movies), but Toy Story was their start and it is their gold mine. The other thing that we don't see often is a movie franchise that is revived after a long break and one that works so closely to the source material in a successful fashion.

Gentlemen, reach for the sky, because the sky is the limit. Toy Story 3 goes to infinity and beyond, and even soared above my expectations, well knowing that it is receiving 100% after 100+ reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

I'm not even sure where to begin, but I'll start by saying that you may be skeptical at first because you feel that they cave in with too many corny jokes or that there are too many characters. Strangely, this movie seems to actually have the least amount of characters that one would need to focus on. You have your main set of Woody, Buzz, Jessie (and Bullseye I guess), Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head (and their alien kids), Slinky, Rex, and Hamm. Am I forgetting anyone? You will encounter more characters in this movie than you will be able to handle, but they get their respective screen time and move on. Okay, I'll admit that there are more characters like Barbie, Ken, Lotso (that pink bear), and this big baby doll... but in all honesty, it's not overwhelming when you get to watching it.

The first half hour seems "rehashing" in a way. You will get shots that you've seen in the trailers and you'll wonder if the movie can lead to any good. You are also aware of the run time and hope that they don't cut you off too quickly. But about 50 minutes in, you'll realize that you might be experiencing one of the most fantastic animated movies ever. And I'll just say right now, that as I saw this movie in 3D, my only regret was that I had to keep removing my glasses to wipe off tears around the last act of the movie. It is such an emotional roller coaster, with both happiness and sadness, the entire way through.

This is a masterpiece of a sequel to cap off a trilogy, and I can't say enough good things about it. It doesn't matter if you're six years old or sixty... you will enjoy this film.

By the way, I do hope that you see the other movies before this one, especially the first movie. It's not absolutely necessary like, say, the Saw movies are... but it's where the heart is at. Then do yourself a favor and see Toy Story 3, which is easily the best movie of the year so far (waiting on Inception).

Agreed. Shutter Island was surprisingly good but somewhat predictable if you saw Identity. Entertaining, nonetheless.

I also enjoyed Wolfman. More gory than I expected.

Might go see Splice this weekend. Anyone see it yet?

Scorsese, DiCaprio, where's the surprise? When you see names like that involved you should expect the movie to be good.

I watched the movie earlier this week as well, and even having not seen Identity, it wasn't hard not to know what the twist was as long as you knew that there was some kind of a twist. Had I not paid attention to all the "shocking ending" buzz I probably would have been taken off guard, but not even halfway through I guessed correctly.

Still, I thought it was great. I feel comfortable sayin that in my opinion, DiCaprio is one of the top 3 actors doing it today, along with Daniel Day Lewis and George Clooney.

I watched Stagecoach the other night. Its a b&w western directed by John Ford with a very young John Wayne. I was actually surprised by how good this movie was and really the only thing that holds it back is the soundtrack which comes off as being corny and trite. Aside from the soundtrack, however, the rest of the movie is golden. I really enjoyed the storyline and the action scenes were well done.

Two critics finally broke the amazing Toy Story streak at Rotten Tomatoes. I know RT wasn't around when the first Toy Story came out, but Toy Story and Toy Story 2 both have a 100% rating on the site. Two bonehead critics gave Toy Story 3 a negative review which ended the franchise's perfect record at Rotten Tomatoes.

                                As it stands now.....
Toy Story 3 - 141 fresh reviews and 2 rotten reviews
Toy Story 2 - 147 fresh reviews and 0 rotten reviews
Toy Story - 70 fresh reviews and 0 rotten reviews

I honestly think the two bozo critics who gave the rotten reviews were just looking to get attention for themselves and draw visitors to their own websites. Toy Story 3 is simply an awesome film.
