Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Adventureland - I'd heard good things about this one, but I really didn't think it was that great. It was decent and it was watchable, it's just not something I'd go out of my way to watch again. The last half hour of the movie seemed really rushed to me.
Also, I swear Jesse Eisenberg is the same in every movie I've ever seen him in, save for a slight difference in The Social Network.
On the positive side, this movie actually accomplished making Kristen Stewart smile and seem attractive, so there's that.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Funny enough, I still think Kristen's best stuff is her small role in 'Into the Wild', and she was excellent in 'Welcome to the Rileys' with James Gandolfini.GO 'HAWKS!

Yup, love her in Into the Wild. She played a boy very well in Panic Room, too.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Special Investigator (1937)
Everything you'd expect from a programmer. No real big surprises or anything you haven't seen before but it was entertaining.
I also made an announcement on my blog about a semi-recurring (non review) segment and alerting people about an all recent movie review week coming up.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Olympus Has Fallen. Enjoyed it. Very good action sequences. Big fan of the work done by Morgan Freeman.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
GI Joe: Retaliation - Went in expecting a poorly acted over-the-top action movie with some comedic elements thrown in, with a bad script. I got that, but since those were my expectations, I loved the movie.
I'm semi-serious. I liked the movie. A certain thing that happens early on helps that enjoyment a bit. Dwayne was awesome and could easily end up as this generations "Over-the-top Action Movie Star." It's a shame none of the movies are ever THAT good, because he generally turns in a good performance compared to his surroundings.
Oblivion - I liked this one as well. Some unnecessary plot twists thrown in there and it took a bit to really get going, but solid movie. Freeman was good, Cruise was Cruise (people know my feelings about him, I believe) and the supporting actors were all good enough. Story was a little strange and then very predictable for the end.
Hot Fuzz - Somehow I don't think I have ever seen this from start to finish in one sitting. Thought it was good. Some funny parts, some ridiculous parts, but that was to be expected and they were well done.Comment

The Rock has slowly turned himself into a decent actor in my eyes, he won't ever be an award winning guy but he's more then muscles and action scenes.Last edited by Chrisksaint; 08-14-2013, 11:29 PM.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

He's shown some range (Walking Tall is still my favorite Rock movie), but I see him getting typecast for a bit in the Arnold kind of way. Hopefully he makes some movies as good as Arnold's best, as he's a better actor than him.Comment
