Matt Damon is up there in the upper echelon on this generations actors. Hands down. I don't care what anyone else says.

Damon has put together a good resume. I like nearly all of his movies.

Dicaprio was also very good in The Departed. As well as Damon. 1 movie not mentioned Tom Cruise was very good in was Last Samurai.

          Trance

It was pretty good. Heard comparisons to Inception but I think Memento would be a better comparison. The score/soundtrack is outstanding. Also thought James McAvoy was particularly great. Intriguing story but the lack of explanation for the ending drags it down because there's about 10 possible explanations. I'm all for endings that make you think but there's usually only 2 or 3 possibilities. If you happen to find Rosario Dawson attractive you'll be very pleased with this movie.

I brought that up. That was one of the few Tom Cruise movies I enjoyed...

Saw We're the Millers, last night. Worth it just for Jennifer Anniston.

Another of Leo's earlier films I liked was This Boy's Life (1993). It was based on a true story set in the 50's. Ellen Barkin and Robert De niro also starred in it. It's about a rebellious teen and his abusive father.

Dipped into the vault for a couple of classics.

                  Gremlins
It's been a good 15 years since I have seen this movie. I forgot how violent at times the film was. For what was likely billed as a kids movie, this definitely earned a PG-13 rating. I still think the film holds up pretty well nearly 30 years (that makes me feel old) later.

                  House Party
My wife was unpacking a box and ran across this and suggested we watch it. I think I've written about this film before so I won't go into detail. It's House Party and it is still a blast to watch.

Just finished up End of Watch on Netflix. Great movie! Loved how you can really feel the bond between the two cop buddies the whole way through. I never heard of the movie before, just stumbled upon it and gave it a try since it was 5/5 stars on Netflix. If anyone hasn't watched it, I'd highly recommend it!

Titanic is a good movie. I shun away from what male moviegoers say about the movie, who seem to shun away from the movie itself.

Just ignore it, and watch it like you would any other movie I guess. The only downside it has going for it is that it's long. I honestly don't mind the length, but it means you have to allot time for it in your schedule for the day.

The main reason for the length is Cameron wanted to show the sinking in real-time.

I like the film as well...my favorite bit is the musicians playing that very sad piece during the montage of people about to meet death below deck (the mother and hrr kids, the old couple holding each other, etc). Pretty powerful movie at times and amazing visuals.

Wonder how many times the names 'Jack' and 'Rose' were said though lol. That film does have some cringe inducing scenes as well; King of the world...Jack I'm flying....I go to America!! Yikes.

                          .
The first Gremlins movie was definitely a lot more violent and skewed a bit toward the horror/gore genre. I used to hate the fact that they camped it up so much with the 2nd film but it's grown on me over the years. I think in some respects the camping up of the 2nd movie makes the first one even more menacing.

If her role is anything like the one in Horrible Bosses, that's almost enough reason to go see the movie alone. I hadn't "noticed" her before that.
