Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Heavily slept on movie and possibly Paul Walkers best performance acting wise (The F&F movies are all about action and one liners.) The camera work was really well done and it had a very good story story also.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Seriously, I tried to watch that Davinci's Demons series on Showtime or Starz (can't remember) and there was just too much man meat, so much so that even my wife asked "WTF are you watching? And why don't they ever have any clothes on?" Don't think I'll be going back to that series. Its not a horrible show but the amount of nudity is kinda ridiculous.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Won't go into any long reviews but I watched a couple John Candy movies
Armed and Dangerous (1986)
Well...That flick certainly didn't come out as good as I remember. I will say though that it's always great to see Candy and Levy on screen together. They have a great chemistry going all the way back to their SCTV days. The movie just didn't have enough really good jokes but the jokes that were funny had me laughing out loud.

Who's Harry Crumb? (1989)
I forgot just how dimwitted the Harry Crumb character was but it held up for the most part for me. This and Uncle Buck were released in the same year and those two movies helped to cement Candy as a leading man comic actor. The contrivances to make the bumbling idiot Crumb solve the case really stretches credulity at times but Candy's charisma makes it work.
I also find it funny in hindsight now that the joke about putting cherry into coke to create Cherry Coke is now a reality.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Told me not to give my opinion but i could talk about rhe movie in general and scenes all i wanted.
I actually thought it was a nixe ode seeing arcades and a ton of other references to the 80s and gaming. Couple of the kids took a bucket of quarters to the arcade to play some games then entered a tournament .... loved the emphasis on the movie on cheat codes which we used to use all of the time.
That extra giant pacman on the poster is not in the movie like that. The girl in the pic didnt come in until the end during the bif fight scene and once more at the end with literally no lines.
You'd probably have a problem relating to some of the 80s characters like max headroom and games like joust and burgertime if you never played games back then but that's not the entire movie premise so its coolComment

Aww damn, I was hoping for a scene with that giant Pac-Man chomping on everyone and people running around scared like in a Godzilla movie.
You just ruined my day and it's only just begun! j/kMember of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
