I actually found Club Dread to be pretty funny. Maybe it's just me though. It's a horrible funny movie.

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
I saw Valentines Day and 3:10 to Yuma over the weekend.
Valetines Day was okay. Reminded me of Love Actually, which I really enjoyed. I hate when movies have these all star casts and it's not a very good movie.
3:10 to Yuma, was excellent though. Bale/Crowe/Foster were phenomenal. I think Charlie was my favorite charatcher.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
wow, I thought that movie was terrible. There were only a few parts I chuckled at. Then the last 20 or so minutes of the movie I couldn't tell if it was trying to be serious or funny.Lux y VeritasComment

I enjoyed the movie. I liked the contrast of light to dark comedy they did. I've watched it a few times and I don't have much of a problem with anything in the movie, but it is not for everyone.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
12 Rounds
Not going to say much. It picks up and never drops off, and it's all pretty good in my opinion. It does not deserve the 5.4 rating that it has on IMDb, I'll say that much. If there is an unrated version, I may pick it up on Blu-ray. That might be my biggest complaint... it seemed too much as if they filmed this to be an R-rated movie, but censored a couple of things to get the PG-13 rating (it was iffy though, I can see where they almost pushed limits here and there).
Just imagine that John Cena runs the city like Jack Bauer and everyone looks up to him, and you should be fine with the movie. The ending could have all been written better and maybe a bit longer just for the "appreciation effect," but it was enjoyable. I do recommend it if you like movies like Speed and Die Hard With a Vengeance.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I really, really have a tough time taking any movie starring a WWE wrestler seriously.
It's probably an unfair stance, but I can't help it.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
His first few minutes doesn't help, but after a while you sort of forget. If you don't know in the first place, it's not too bad either. But again, his first few minutes sort of just make him a big larger than life and not fit for the role. It ends up being fine.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Considering he's a wrestler, John Cena is not terrible.
The Rock easily being the best actor from a wrestling background.Comment
