Reservoir Dogs-Wouldn't call myself a huge fan of Tarratino's work(with the exception of Pulp Fiction), but I really liked this one. Thought the acting was top notch all around and the plot was pretty interesting in terms of the way it was told in a non-linear manner. I would give it a 8.5/10.

Finally watched Adjustment Bureau. Not bad. I enjoyed it while watching which counts for something. I think I can agree with its tomatometer of 72. I thought a lot of the acting was pretty bad, though. Not sure what people saw in Damon and Blunt's chemistry? It looked like they were two people that just wanted to film another movie to me.
And what was the deal with John Slattery (Roger Sterling to most and Richardson in the film)? His delivery was plain awful. He's much better on Mad Men.
Now Anthony Mackie (Harry Mitchell) was great. Dude needs to get titular roles. Too ignored in the industry."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Just saw Fast Five at the 3 dollar movie & I thought that was pretty good. A little over the top but I was expecting that so it was all good!"In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully

Still my favorite Tarantino film.

I liked it as well. For most of it. I wasn't a big fan of the ending.

I thought Damon and Blunt were great together. Seemed so natural to me.

Actually, I take it back now. I'm thinking it over and as I'm trying to figure out what scenes I hated most, I'm realizing now that it wasn't Damon's acting that I didn't like; it was the things he said and that's probably the fault of the script.
So I hated the writing.
And as for the writing...
SpoilerCome on, this guy gets into a bar fight, beats up people, grows up in a bad neighborhood and becomes this bad *** congressman only to have his entire campaign ruined because he mooned someone in college? That was the biggest fraud of a reason to propel the story in the script. Gotta come up with something more dramatic than that especially when he's already being built up with such a negative character background and history.
I also agree about the ending being a cop-out for the most part. "You know what, we like you guys so we'll change things just for you." Boo. Basically, he ran and ran for no reason but just to see if he'll keep on running? Wow, talk about a let down. The entire idea of the Adjustment Bureau is cool. People in suits that course correct others? Awesome. The fact that they need hats to do their job...uh, stupid. Man, the more I talk about this film the more I realize why I found it "not bad.""It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
Kind of boring and uneventful. The first half of the movie could have almost been skipped, if you truly don't want to convince yourself to change the channel. Never did see the original, though. I liked the cast enough, Oliver Stone had a fresh take on the film's direction, and I got a new take on the stock market... but if you're going to revive an old film with a sequel, I just think it needs more bang.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I'll argue that. Office Space was a good movie, but her role was circumstantial. Her best movie, if she has one was probably Bruce Almighty, but the Horrible Bosses crowd will most likely tell you it's that one.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Just got done watching 'Source Code' and it was pretty damn awesome. It really does a good job of sucking you in early and keeping you locked in. Loved it, 8.5/10 from me.....
Also watched Fat, sick and nearly dead today as well on Mike suggestion and it was pretty cool. I don't agree with everything in it 100% but it is a cool story and did encourage me to eat more fruit and veges and less processed crap.Comment
