    Step Up 3

Kind of like the High School Musical of the dancing realm. Unbelievable nature, overzealous character molds, but great dancing and a fast beat nonetheless.

However, this is one of those movies where shooting in 3D makes for a blatantly distracting 2D movie. I'm not just talking about the shots where things "come at you," but every shot in general was planned in 3D, and comes out as a mess in 2D. The depth, focus, deep angles, digitization, and apparent lack of creativity made this a film that lacked any sort of artistic creation (outside of the dance scenes, I suppose).

I don't think I saw the other two, though. I think I only saw Stomp the Yard. I'm not much for these kinds of films, at least for going out of my way to see them. I was only watching it with my sister when she went to On Demand.

Isn't that like saying: "We're going to make the best smelling trash, ever!"
I wouldn't even give it the dignity of calling it a b-movie. There are a lot of good b-movie films.

Just saw Brewster's Millions (1985) with Richard Pryor, John Candy. And even Reni Santoni (Poppie from Seinfeld) was there...

            Love those 80's movies!

It's a drama, and its funny that you say that actually, because I actually thought the opposite. I didn't find it implausible at all, in fact it's very possible if a bug were to be that serious. I mean, I don't know the science behind it, but I didn't sit there and think, yeah there's no way this would ever happen. It's not like The Day After Tomorrow, where there's no way something like that would really happen. I really enjoyed it actually.

I also saw Red State the other day, Kevin Smith's new privately funded movie. It's about a religious cult, kind of like The Fred Phelps church out of Topeka, that is pretty much bat-**** insane. It falls somewhere between horror and drama, I really enjoyed it. Great actors and acting. There's a really interesting story behind it. Kevin Smith has essentially been touring the movie around the country and has already made back the $6 million he spent on it back two fold. And thats before he puts it in any real theaters. And all of the actors either did it for free or very minimal amounts. It's got some bigger names in it too, like John Goodman.

Not a horror. More drama/suspense. It's actually a good story and Matt Damon keeps his political beliefs out of it.

The dynamics of the pandemic might be realistic but as far as a super deadly, super contagious virus with a slow enough progression its like hitting the power ball lottery 100 times in a row. possible but not plausible.

Been wanting to see this since he went on tour with it, but I don't think he's come to New York City. At least, if he did, I missed it.

Anyway, just found out it's now legally online as of today.
