      Watched two movies last night.

First was Red State. Like others have said not really a horror movie but still had some tense moments. Some great performances from the crazy preacher and John Goodman. Loved it and the time really flew by. A solid 8/10 from me.

The second was Drive starring Ryan Gosling. It was VERY slow to get going but picked up eventually and overall I liked the movie but I don't think its the sort of thing I would watch more than once. A pretty retro looking film overall (camera shots, music even the pink font used on the opening credits) which was the intention was pretty cool and it was nice to see Albert Brooks in a more serious role. 7/10.

Friends with Benefits. Wasn't quite sure what to expect, but this was actually pretty entertaining. Was pretty predictable but really liked the subplot with Justin Timberlake's characters family issues.

I thought it was great up until the goat. Very end was pretty nice.

I did like the end. At least they stuck with the title of the movie lol.

Crazy, Stupid, Love: I was a little reluctant to see this with it being a romantic comedy but it was actually good. It was funny and everyone nailed their role.

                S.W.A.T.: Firefight

I ran across it on Netflix and decided to watch it.

It wasn't that bad. It wasn't perfect and the acting wasn't spectacular, but the story was sort of cool and there was plenty of action.

The end result was sort of predictable, but that's just how it is with these type movies..

Overall I'd give it a 7/10, just because it kept me entertained.

Bad Teacher: Nothing special. It had some funny moments, but it's not a movie I would watch again or own. The funniest parts of the movie involved Cameron Diaz roommate with his UFC shirts and workout magazines lol.

There Will Be Blood: I enjoyed it, although it was long and there were some scenes that I felt dragged. The acting was superb as always with Daniel Day-Lewis and the music was very well-done.

Killer Elite. Very good Jason Statham, Clive Owen action flick. Enjoyed it from start to finish.

Venus and Vegas. Action-Comedy that had to have been made on a shoe string budget. Some poor acting, but it was pretty entertaining if for no other reason: Roselyn Sanchez and Jaime Pressley.

LOL I watched SWAT Firefight last night, didn't care for it since it had NOBODY from the original movie in it at all. Also watched The Objective, it was a pretty decent movie on netflix insta stream, the last 20 minutes was completely weird though.

Indecent Proposal - Okay, I'm just going to get this out of the way, but Demi Moore in her prime was light outs. Holy cow, she was sexy in this movie. Everything else was just mediocre. I don't know why I had this movie hyped up in my head, because it does get named dropped a lot but I never knew why. I still don't. The cast is good, but I just couldn't get into the story because it was just too melodramatic and contrived to me. It basically felt like I was watching a drama equivalent of a horror movie, because the decision making logic seemed to pulled from the horror genre.

Despite the story and writing, the three big names truly carry this film and is the only reason I would recommend it because Redford is a pimp, Demi is smokin hot, and Woody is Woody.

30 Minutes or Less and The Change-Up- Neither movie really delivered for me and werent nearly as comedic as I had hoped going into them.

The change up is a strange one for me. When I first saw it in the theatre the whole crowd was cracking up and I came away thinking it was a great movie. Then I recently watched it with some members of my family and they didn't really like it at all and I could sort of see why and wondered why I had liked it so much the first time.

I guess who you see a movie with and the reactions of the people around you really do have an impact on how good / bad I perceive it....

Back in the day, Demi was Grade A. I remember as a young lad, paying to see some PG movie at the movie theaters and somehow got lost after going to the restroom....ended up seeing Disclosure.
