Little Big Soldier. Very good warlord movie with Jackie Chan. Easy recommendation.

seeing larry david dressed as a nun probably was the funniest thing in the flick

Black Swan - This is just as creepy, perhaps creepier, as the first time I saw it. I love the story and the visuals and all the little mind ****s, its just an awesome ride. It is very unsettling to basically go down this path with a bat**** insane girl who sprints down it. Natalie Portman did a great a job, but not to discredit her performance, I feel like singling her out above everything else is discrediting how everything comes together so amazingly well. Everything serves to further that darkening and gloomy atmosphere. Everything builds up the creepy and increasingly twisted fantasies of this clearly troubled girl. Everything clearly lends itself to the fact that this Nina is going through some crazy ****. Its a dark ride, but it is a great ride.

4.3.2.1 It was alright. A female version of Crash: seeing the same 3 days through several different characters and how their stories come together.

Red Tails. Pretty good. The action/fighting scenes were entertaining.

I see where you're coming from, and I somewhat agree. I guess I just didn't think as much about it and just thought a horror movie on something from real life was kinda cool. I guess I liked the horror-ness behind it more than the real life part.

                Men In Black 3 8.8

The movie was frankly pretty entertaining. For one, I thought it put the second movie to shame. I found MIB2 to be terrible, this one made up for that by delivering a somewhat coherent entertaining story.

Josh Brolin is the man. He played agent K so well, even better than Tommy did lol.

Sweet. I'm debating about going to see it today or tomorrow. Got a free e-ticket for buying MIB 1 on blu ray a couple weeks ago. Big fan of the first one.

Watched Haywire and Underworld: Awakening yesterday. If I just analyze both films intellectually they are both probably "6's", but my visceral rating based on my love of the two female leads is "7.5" for both.

Beckinsale is Beckinsale, but man do I love me some Gina Carano. After watching both of the movies, I was thinking that if Kate finally wanted to hang up her fangs, silver bullet shooting pistols, and form fitting leather jumpsuit, that Gina could be the new raven-haired vampire vixen in the Underworld series.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Act of Valor. Impressive job. Gives a new found appreciation for what these guys deal with.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

I was in the mood to watch some baseball related stuff last night.

Started out with 61*, which is one of my favorite movies of all time. I'll never get tired of watching that movie. My dad was a huge Mickey Mantle fan and he was blown away at Thomas Jane's performance. Barry Pepper plays a spot on Roger Maris as well. I think this is one of the more underrated baseball movies out there. I am only 30 but most of my buddies have never seen this movie. Perhaps the best part is the extra features portion where Billy Crystal talks about the movie. Gives me goosebumps every time and I'd be lying if I said a couple didn't drop when he talks about his dad taking him to his first ball game. That really hits home.

Finished up with Ken Burns' 'Baseball.' I was pretty blown away with it. I only watched the 'Extra Innings' portion but will eventually watch all of it. I can't remember who it was but he talked about how it's very telling on how much baseball is imbedded in our being because a lot of fathers want to teach their sons how to play the game. Having a 2 year old son and another on the way, that too really hit home.

                            61* is really good.

You will love the Baseball series. I watched the entire thing on Netflix, and may run it back again. Fantastic stuff.
