It's better than I thought it would be.
Don't you EVER read my blog? It's gotten a lot better.

It was better then i expected. I wish it was longer with more artists.

It was nearly 2 hours long and featured over 40 artists. How much more content were you expecting?

I thought the documentary was okay. Once you've seen one of these films you've seen them all. Didn't really touch on anything new. Still worth watching if you're a fan of the genre.

American Psycho - Got home early yesterday and considering the influence of the Random movie/tv quotes thread I had to get it out of my system. I really like the cast and obviously Christian Bale is superb. The story is erratic and leaves a lot to your imagination rather than leaving enough for a logical conclusion, though I feel like I "get it" now. The book is still the better story, but watching Bale in the Paul Allen scene is both hilarious and chilling. I hope he gets back into some of these types roles now that he's done with Batman.

I saw Ip Man 2 last night on netflix and loved it. Donnie Yen is an underrated martial arts actor but I like him a lot better than Jet Li. Not on the same level as the first one but Ip Man 2 is more than worth it. Highly recommended to anyone who loves martial arts movies.

              The Master

Saw it this morning, which probably isn't the best time to take in a PT Anderson movie, but it was very good. It has what you expect from PT Anderson (great cinematography, good dialogue, a solid score) I still need sometime to think over the movie more and truly understand it. Phoenix and PSH were both excellent. Neither was as strong as DDL in There Will Be Blood, but it was nice to have 2 excellent performances rather than There Will Be Blood, where DDL carried the movie.

DREDD - Love this movie! Made me wanna actually do some "Slo-Mo"...great story...I felt immersed in another world (universe)...MawMaw was one of the best villains I've seen in awhile...her background...demeanor...I wanted to do her badly! lol!...but I have a question for those more familiar with DREDD via the comics,etc...

This was pretty amazing. JGL was nearly flawless I thought. He made it more than simply mimicking Bruce Willis; however, that in and of itself was very entertaining as well. I really liked how the characters evolved, the different moods and vibes it projected, and how little you actually thought of the mechanics of time travel. It just worked and fluidly.

Might be surpassing Drive as I think about it more. I certainly need to see it again ASAP.

I've been interested in this movie but you comparing it to Drive has me scared out of my wits. I'm hoping you mean in terms of how much you like it and not style.

I don't think he's comparing it to Drive. He's just placing it on the high list of his favorite movies because Tendrils loves Drive.

Actually one of my friends I saw it with brought Drive up because of the psychotic tendencies of some of the characters. Apart from the mob angle, there isn't much similarities in terms of tone, style, or story structure and honestly I was surprised he even mentioned it. This is definitely a more "standard" film compared to Drive's style-driven, minimal dialogue affair.

Yeah I just read your write up in the Looper thread, i'll definitely have to make it a point to see this.

                          Thanks!

Saw Pitch Perfect yesterday, I thought it was extremely funny, although if your not a fan of music/singing it's probably one you should skip.
