Watched Sherlock Holmes: The Game of Shadows last night, thought it was pretty good.

              The Dark Knight Rises

I could actually make out Bane 95% of the time on Blu-ray. But that didn't improve things. Instead of sounding mumbly and incoherent he sounded like a silly bitch and at no point was I able to take him seriously. I didn't notice how awful some of the dialogue was the first time I saw it either. Also thought I could enjoy the ending more but I still could only thing "how did he get back? seriously?!" so it's still full of holes too, nothing was solved upon a second viewing. In fact it got worse and noticed even more plot holes. Think I gave it a 7 the first time and now it's more like a 5 and may in fact actually be terrible.

Wouldn't be something popular (and good) if Goh didn't think it was terrible.

Aside from Heath Ledger's performance I don't know why things that worked and were swept under the rug for TDK (and this applies to Batman Begins, too) somehow makes TDKR a horrible movie.

There are some really, really boring parts of TDK.

I wouldn't say "boring," but there are some things that are either corny or if you stop and think about them you're like "Wait. What?"

See, and you know I'm one of the highest TDK/Batman fanboys on this site, there are a few parts of TDK that I could skip over completely and be fine with.

And yes, there are more than a few corny parts. In fact, I'd wager that the corniness/"wait, what?" Moments in TDK outweigh the time lapses and "wait, what?" Moments from TDKR. That's just me though. Can't wait to watch it ten times on BR.

I don't think I would make that wager. TDK has breathing room which allows you to soak it all in. The first viewing was glorious; however, I feel like the more times you view it and don't go with the pacing that you start to pick up little quirks.

TDKR is similar, but the pacing is pretty much nonstop throughout the whole movie and doesn't really let you sit back and think. It has some slower moments, but those moments are more of the dramatic narrative that, for the most part, is pretty tight. Still, even with the swift pacing I feel like the poorer parts are easier to pick out than in TDK.

I'm just ready to sit back and enjoy the awesome marathon of BB-TDK-TDKR all at once. It's going to be glorious.

I'm not sure it's terrible but I'm sure it's not good.
I'll give it another chance if the 3 hour 45 minute (or whatever it was) version ever gets released. Might actually fill in and explain some of this non-sense.
