Like i said though, nothing against the film itself, its a great movie, just my annoyance at the spread out Marvel film rights where Spidey couldn't even get a quick mention. Its all good though.

actually, i take that back. Teasing Thanos and using him in a SEPERATE movie (Guardians of the Galaxy) bothers me. But this isn't the thread for that.
Spidey couldn't help the Avengers because he was looking for Aunt May's damn eggs.

Not a movie, but I just finished the first two seasons of Lost.

Not exactly sure how this show was critically acclaimed. The plot was ridiculous and most of the characters were annoying except for the doctor and the philosopher. I've never been too keen on shows with fantasy/supernatural twists though.

        Hey all it's Godzilla time!

Okay continuing on with my ongoing project:

        Godzilla Vs. Hedorah (1971)

Ohhhh boy....Well, I expanded upon this in my review but this is not a very good movie but not for a lack of good elements. The premise and idea of it is very strong but Toho gave the director's chair to an amateur arthouse type director who gave the movie that weird indie/arthouse feel to it that is just NOT Godzilla at all.

This just about ruins all the good stuff like the great design of Hedorah, the return to a social message and generally good acting. I will say this, at least Toho were willing to take risks with their biggest property unlike Hollywood so while this was a misstep I can applaud what they were trying to do.

        * 1/2 stars mainly due to the good elements within the crappy arthouse package.

Yeah, doesn't really sound like your kind of show then lol.

I don't think I watched the first season. What made the show cool was that it was like 5+ seasons, and you had to remember things from like the very first episode because something that happened in the final season would answer a question that you had during the first episode.

It was just a really cool concept for a show IMO. I also really liked the concept behind Flashforward, which was unfortunately killed off (probably because the acting was absolutely atrocious).

              I saw Prisoners finally.
I liked it, although some stuff was kinda of unrealistic.

I don't know why, but I always love Jake Gyllenhall. I loved End of Watch which got mixed feelings on these boards.

Fright Night 3d. Movie was average at best.... 3D was okay. Not worth a purchase....definitely just a rental.

                  Peter Sellers was really good.

I like Lord of the Flies and I like the Twilight Zone.

                    I don't like them together.

EDIT: Apparently, the Australian girl is Jack's sister. The plot gets even dumber. I thought they reached a low with the "Smoke Monster", but the low has been reached.

Prisoners - 7.5/10. Good movie. Script was pretty original and the movie was really well shot.

Downside: Ran a little too long (2 hours, 33 minutes), and Terrance Howard's character was underdeveloped.

I watched this for the first time in my Modern American History course in junior year of high-school. Suffice to say it helped usher in Kubrick into my life.

Yeah, I liked it and have been thinking about it since I watched it...always a good sign. I'd like to see it again soon

Funny that I came to this classic of his so late, but I'm glad I gave it a try. I was in the mood for it since I'd just seen "On the Beach" recently.

Its pretty damn gripping for such a comedic satire. Though I guess it would have probably been more of a black comedy when it released all things considered.
