"Jurassic Park" has been on tv quite a bit lately so I broke out my 3-movie set and decided to rewatch "The Lost World"; I only watched it once previously but never finished it (pre-San Diego).

I don't feel like I lost two hours of my life, but I have no need to see TLW ever again. Jeff Goldblum was the only saving grace and even he was limited by a bad script.

First JP is awesome, and the third one was decent entertainment. 2nd one...no.

Second one has best special effects, though.

I remember going to the first JP movie and I have to tell you, the experience of seeing that movie in the theatre was AWESOME. I don't think i've heard a movie up to that point that really made use of surround sound the way it did. T

That scene is still the best of the trilogy. I wish I was at an age of true awareness and appreciation to have seen that for the first time and flipped out at the effects of a 1993 film with that T-Rex scene.

Alien 3

Holy crap was this movie a chore to watch! I didn't feel any suspense, Ripley wasn't really like the Ripley of Alien/Aliens (no, it's not because her character evolved),

and the only new character that was actually interesting (Charles Dance) was killed off way too soon.

I felt sleepy at certain points and just forced myself to finish it. Utterly forgettable.

I've seen the first three thousands of times, and my friend hadn't seen any of them at the time. I wanted to keep seeing it in theaters, but I'm that nice guy who had to "wait on him." We finally saw them all together, and when we were planning on seeing Legacy we bailed on each other two separate occasions. I've had it on Blu-ray forever now, but he moved into the city and we hardly see each other anymore... at least not in the sense that if we do, there's so much more stuff to do than watch a movie.

Going to watch it now, I guess.

Is Man On The Moon the one with a young Reese Witherspoon? If it's the same movie I liked it. Please do not make fun of me...One of the best coming of age films I ever seen...

Man on The Moon is an EXCELLENT film. Honestly, Carrey should've gotten an Oscar for that or at least nominated. (was he? I can't remember for sure now) Anywho, that movie really captured the essence of Andy Kaufman.

Saw it this afternoon, I never read the book, the movie was alright. Definitely impressive in terms of visuals, however beyond that, it was average. The story was good until mid way through the end where it felt like they were cramming everything into a small time frame.

Now how is it that he was able to hear the queen and trust her? that part felt so rushed, then he proceeds to explore same to revive this species? It felt so rushed and unexplained.

His brother being an aggressive person felt like it was suppose to be something big, yet it was just brushed upon since he kept comparing himself to his brother. Beyond that, the way they tricked him into destroying the planet was pretty cool

Overall though, pretty solid movie 7/10

Good, light-hearted comedy and, surprisingly, the actors didn't totally mail it in.
