Enjoyed transformers, only complaint really is John Goodman as an Autobot. Love that guy but that was distracting somehow.

like the first better I think because it was a solid reboot imo but would take 4 over 2 and 3.

What about it? That movie is largely forgettable to me. Even still I don't think they did a great job of setting him up in any incarnation.

A lot of the emotional development in the Marvel universe feels forced and contrite to me. Apart from "the big one" in Avengers there's no real heart or soul to these films.

Winter Soldier was an okay villain matched up with Cap well but he was just taking orders from HYDRA which overall is a solid villain. Loki is a great character but I never felt he could give the Avengers trouble. I'm hoping Thanos is just unstoppable badass.

Magneto, Trask/Sentinels, Sebastian Shaw, Green Goblin (Dafoe), Dr. Octopus, The Lizard have been all better villains.

I don't disagree at all. I think most of the Marvel films are completely forgettable. I think I like The Incredible Hulk more than most here, though. IM1 and IM3 are pretty good too. But CA1 and both Thor films are kind of a travesty. I was just saying that the CA2 flashback is not the only setup for the Winter Solider.

Robocop (reboot). Somewhat of a waste of time. Not AS campy as the original but there is a bit....mainly thanks to SLJ. Sorry, you SLJ fans, but he was over the top. It was like he was just redoing his schtick from the credit card commercials. And Michael Keaton was just flat out miscast. This is not his kind of role. I'm not really sure what is any longer. I did like the transition effect they did early on from when they brought Robo out of a dream state into the lab.

Just finished watching Jeff Who Lives at Home. It was beautiful, from the acting to the music, and it felt a lot shorter than it really was (in a good way). I'm not sure what the message of the story was, but I really, really enjoyed it.

FINALLY got to see The Raid 2. It was as gloriousl as I hoped. Loved the hallway fight scene. I do believe its a slight step below the first though

It was ridiculous. The other thing about the movie in general is how all of the events fit into his supposed time frame. Didn't make sense to me.

The Raid 2 was great. I enjoyed the kitchen fight myself...

Makes me wonder how they messed up the remake, I thought the original's timeline was fine.

Edit: Ok, timeline really doesn't work right in the remake
