Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Yeah they're done.
Dream to Make Believe and What To Do When You're Dead were great, though.
I think I'm gonna listen to them now.
Such an odd couple though. I guess not completely odd but, just a strange connection.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

I used to say that about Mrs. Eddie Van Halen. She should have returned my calls decades ago.Comment

Slightly off topic, but i finished up the tv show Being Human. Really enjoyed it. Read that budget cuts kept it from going longer than it did (4 seasons).
The ghost, vampire, werewolf as roommates was a interesting take on the monster genre.Comment

Argo
I had no desire to see this when it was in the theater, but I caught it on Showtime the other day. Deserves all the praise it gets. Affleck was very good and they do a great job of keeping the tension going even though you know how it's going to end.Comment

Finally saw Gravity. Was pretty impressed. IMO Bullock has never been better and the visuals were amazing. I like that it wasn't overlong, either. Nice, tight story.NCAA: Michigan Wolverines

What movies have you seen recently?
Went to a theater in Fukuoka and watched the new Transformers.
It was a lot better than I had anticipated. Just like the others, it's a little bit too long. Explosions and flying shrapnel are cool until you're just ready for the movie to end. I'm not a Transformers kid so I actually know nothing about storylines.
I would say 7/10
Good movie though, entertaining and I love Mark Wahlberg even when he's terrible.
Yep.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Memento. Holy crap. At first I thought I wouldn't like the reverse chronological order story line, and I'll admit I was a bit bored for the first half hour or so, but the way the plot unfolded was pretty great. One day I might watch the version that's actually in order.GT: assassinK24Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Let's Be Cops. Liked this buddy cops comedy a lot, maybe due to having low expectations going in. Had some legit funny moments (though you've seen most of them in the trailers) and wasn't really over top (a male "johnson" is the only nudity).
Divergent. Liked it. IMO, it was better than the Hunger Games.Comment

Amazing Spider-Man 2
I liked everything that wasn't Dane DeHaan. He was ****.
Other than that, solid. Maybe one of the most visually impressive movies I've ever seen.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
So my gf says I should watch Divergent and we just saw The Giver last night. I thought I wouldn't like these tweener book adaptations but I actually enjoyed them.
I actually like Divergent better than the first hunger games.
