Kevin Hart had some stand-up's that were mad funny but the powers that be got ahold of him and oversaturated him.

As Justin Bieber put it in the roast of himself, "Kevin Hart's doing everything Martin Lawrence did, just [expletive for worse]"

Sorry, but Justin Bibber lost his license to bust on anybody years ago.

        Still a valid point, though.

Dazed and Confused - I watched this on NYE and for some reason its still sticking around in the ol noggin. I guess I've never really paid much attention to the "greater meaning" aspects of the film such as how the Bi-Centennial celebrations of the country coincides with the forced maturity of the characters. While some discover new parts of themselves (coming of age) others rebel and dig their heels in that comes off both as cowardice and bravely individualistic. It seems my favorite scene changes with each viewing with it now leaning towards the initiation of the freshmen girls and Parker Posey's "wipe that face off your head, bitch."

You see the Roast of Justin Bieber? He had some zingers and for a few weeks there I actually could tolerate him.

Then I snapped out of it.

The roast, overall, was really funny. Some more then others though I feel like if you don't like that type of humor you'll turn it off. Re-watched a couple of times and I can't decide who had the best bit.

The Bieber roast was amazing television. With the stuff that got on air you have to wonder what landed on the cutting room floor for being over the line.

I've seen some of the CC roasts. I don't care for them and that brand of humor any longer. Just too crass for my tastes any longer. I'm not prudish about cursing in stand up, but it has to be done intelligently. I'm pretty much done with the "I wouldn't **** her with your dick" stuff.

The first one was actually watchable but this is just corny. And I only watched it cause I found a link online lol. He hasn't been funny since "Seriously Funny", it's a wrap for Kevin Hart imo.

Watched it the other day on cinemax. I love this movie, one of Jack Black's finest roles. John Cusack is great too, but one thing that annoys me is all the rain on the nights where he's had some of his roughest times...was the weather really that necessary?

I still thinks it's the worst movie of all time. And I used to be a F&F fan.

Daddy's Home, not sure it was appropriate to take a 10 year old to, but we laughed quite a bit and had a good time.

Get Hard. Thought as far as Will F goes, Daddy's Home was much better, but I still laughed at quite a bit of stuff in it, so it was worth viewing.

The Hateful Eight: Not sure what to think of this. It was a Tarentino movie in so far as there was a lot of violence and bloodshed. But as far as plot and character depth it left a lot to be desired. It wasn't a deep movie, but for what it was I enjoyed it. It wasn't anything special and I'm sure more verbose and critical analysis of the move will kill it.

The Revenant: Some of the visuals are amazing. The fact that they filmed this with natural light makes it a very beautiful movie to see. I actually liked Tom Hardy's work with his character better than DiCaprio's. It was also fairly bloody but I would say was better done than the above. I did feel like the movie ran longer than it needed, but I was okay with it because again the visuals were amazing. I know the joke is this movie is all about getting Leo his Oscar, but personally I don't think it will get it done. I'm not a movie critic by any means, but for me the best acting in this movie was done by Tom Hardy.

I just watched this again the other day. Very entertaining movie although I do feel it is a bit "pointless," but that's not necessarily a bad thing

I'll be shocked if Leo doesn't win for this role. Just my opinion

I still thinks it's the worst movie of all time. And I used to be a F&F fan.
There aren't many like us out there.

I did re-watch it as well, and I got past some of the eye-rolling scenarios up until the LA scenes at the end, mostly because it didn't look like crap CGI compared to that of the tunnel-driving scenes in Fast & Furious (near the lowest of lows for me).

As far as a movie though, oh gosh it was so bad. I can't... I can't even explain it. I see how PW's death not only generated ticket sales but also helped present good closure to the character (perhaps the film's one redeeming quality), but I cannot agree with the masses that liked it more than 1, 3, or 5 for sure. Most people are fed up with 2, I am not much a fan of 4, and 6 was a bit too generic in itself with many absurd moments as well.

I am no way going to say Justin Lin ruined the franchise, because I think he ignited it. But, much like David Yates and Harry Potter, Darren Lynn Bousman and Saw, Francis Lawrence and The Hunger Games, etc. sometimes directors that come on board after the originals design their own staples into the series that alter its structure, for better or worse. Lin did some good things, but he also did some not so good things. Then James Wan came on board, tried to copy Lin's staples, and **** all over the screen. It was not shot well at all.

Given that you're a fan of the franchise still, you owe it to yourself to put in your copy of The Fast & the Furious and listen to Rob Cohen's commentary track. Definitely the best and most insightful track I have ever heard in a film's commentary before, and gets you to reaffirm/appreciate everything that he did with the original film that was just never replicated thereafter. Shamefully, once you set a bar, fans won't let you go back from there. As if they haven't deviated already, any more sequels hereon out will completely lose the ground underneath them.

Fast Five was a great sequel though.

EDIT: If none of that is enough, F7 also sorely lacked in the audio department. There was just no punch to the mix. Avengers is the largest culprit of the summer, Jurassic World falling behind the both of them... but all of these films need to get it right in the studio. Look to Mad Max, San Andreas, and Ant-Man (though mixed a bit low, but not improperly) for the right aggression these action films should have in their audio fidelity. The mix is good and clean, but is not my demo material by any means.
