Towards the end of BSG, Ron Moore started on with various mysteries that needed explanation, and the series pretty much ended with it was all Gods' plan, and the biggest mystery never got a definitive answer. Some people felt it was a Deus Ex Machina because it was a "sci-fi" series and needed a logical science ending, the other half felt it made sense with the tone of the series and where it headed.

Its a little deeper than that but that's the gist of it all.

Hey man, can you hook me up. I never watched BSG, I went onto Itues to see and there are like 7 seaons. apparently season 1 is not where I need to start. IS The miniseries, 4 parts, where I need to begin with this series or is there a movie or anything. Seems like it might be a bit confusing.

Start with the 4 part mini. The regular series starts from that point. Also make sure its the current series and not the old school one. The current show went 4 seasons, though i'm not sure if the 4th season is broken up in the itunes listing as the airing was. (Season 4.0 and 4.5 for the last ten episodes)

Avoid "The Plan" at all costs though, its garbage and did nothing to add to the main series storyline.

OK, I am downloading the miniseries first. If your on Itunes, its the one with an eye and the title on top of the eye with an orange aura around it. Hopefully its the right one. Thanks man,

Not sure as i don't use itunes or an iPod. I know the current series is themed red for everything.

If they have it by date 2004 should be the first production date.

Something else I was thinking about...

Where and how is Widmore going to tie into the final season? His team has all been killed except for Miles (not counting Lapidis) and it looks like Jacob and MIB are going to be the big "non Lostie" storyline of S6.

Widmore was essentially painted as the main villain of the show for S4 and S5, I hope his role isn't greatly diminished for S6.

What if Widmore was the "good" guy and Ben was the "bad" guy influenced by MIB instead of Jacob???

Maybe the reason they(Widmore and his people)were after Ben was to stop him from killing Jacob..

That's the interesting thing is that the end of S5 and the start of S6 have taken Ben down several notches. He's no longer an evil genius, a threatening presence or has special ties to the island. I hate to say it but Ben is damn near irrelevant at the moment so I'm not sure if having Widmore continue to pursue Ben would make much sense right now. That could be the writers buttering us up though.

I did think of the same idea you just mentioned, if Widmore controlled the new Locke, but the exchange between new Locke and Alpert would make no sense assuming new Locke was referring to the Black Rock and the theory that Alpert was once a slave on that ship. Though that could be a bogus theory (not to get racist but why would a white guy be a slave?) and maybe when Widmore was on the island with the military they held Alpert captive. That would make sense.

I really enjoyed the Widmore/Ben storyline, I hope it is a major part of S6. Hopefully you're right with your theory.
