That, or he needs to be replaced (just like Jacob does) in order for him to get out of the game. Jacob is going Jack - MIB for Sawyer. LET'S DO THIS.

For a while I was wondering if MiB was taking Christian's form and that Christian really was resurrected and roaming the island as well. Now, I'm pretty sure Christian has been MiB the whole time.

Yep, completely agree. Both very plausible.

I still think the MIB picking Sawyer wouldn't be adhering to the show's seeming pattern of everyone is redeemable. And it's not like Sawyer has really been a bad guy all along either. Being a con man is one thing but it's not exactly mass murder. I'd be more apt to believe that Sawyer is conning the MIB, or trying to, and will die trying for redemption.

I don't actually think Sawyer is going to be the new MiB, and I don't think Jack will be a new Jacob in a pattern that never ends - I just think those are the two that have been picked to be "the ones." Which is great for the show, because those two have been rivals since the beginning.

I think Sawyer is trying to con Sawyer, but I think MiB would know that - but there is also a possibility that Sawyer would know he would know that.

I will say one thing - Kate and Sayid are ripe to die. Kate really has no purpose. She is looking for a girl who wants to kill her.

What I don't get is why would MiB need to kill Jacob if he just wanted to be replaced to get out of the Island?

I'm thinking that MiB is a liar (or a stretcher of the truth) like Ben. He wasn't a physical man. He probably means he was a being that made his own decisions, the prototypical man. Jacob put a stop to that for some reason.

I have a hard time understanding how a man could become black smoke. I think he was always black smoke with the ability to shift into the form of a dead person.

So how are Widmore and Ben going to tie back into the series? The two biggest villains of S3-5 are currently nothing more than a footnote. Ben has been damn near rendered useless but "he always has a plan" so I assume he's plotting something to take out MIB (if it's even possible) or something crazy. We haven't heard a peep of Widmore and we're almost third of the way through the finale season.

Anyway, we have Jacob running around as himself, MIB as Flocke and random ghost in Claire? Or is Claire still herself and she's just gone off the deep end? Jacob and MIB are practically omnipotent but Claire can't even figure out where Aaron is. Makes me believe she's just bat**** crazy.

I think Claire is Claire, but she's got a bit of Danielle Rousseau in her right now, except for the part about her baby being taken by the Others. I think she's harboring memories of Ethan and the kidnapping and laying blame in the wrong places.

She's also been brainwashed in some ways because she treats Jin like a friend but isn't prepared to understand that Kate might have tried to save Aaron by taking him off the Island. Her immediate reaction to the news is: "I'll kill her." That's the thinking of someone who isn't all right in the head or has been manipulated into desiring one thing and that's her child. It's probably how MiB keeps her following the company line.

It struck me as odd that Claire didn't even try to hide the fact that Flocke was not Locke. Her being so direct and saying, "Oh, that's not Locke. That's my friend I was talking about." is very weird to me. It's not like LOST characters to be so forth coming about something, you'd figure she would try to keep MIB's secret and tell Jin that it was indeed Locke.

I think showing that weird baby made out of a cowhead showed that Claire has lost the ability to be sneaky in that sense. She is just bizarre.

Agreed. Ben has never been a "bad" guy, but rather somewhere in between due to his selfishness and pride. I just have a feeling he's going to die unselfishly saving one/some of main characters and redeem himself towards the end of the season.

I took that as she doesn't even see "John Locke", but instead see's whoever this guy is as he really is. If she saw him as Locke, I think she would have been surprised to see him in the form of someone she knows so well. Instead she looked at Jin like he was crazy.

I miss it, but I love the character progression that has been taken with him. I'm assuming he is planning something because he always has a plan - but to see him as this humbled and seemingly misplaced character is great. I can't wait to see how the Temple people treat him.
