So was this episode a game changer? Has to be unless there's something more to Gough's vision.
Very interesting to see how this plays out. I kind of feel like the show took a risky direction here. There was always that feeling of "what if" with the future. Does Gough make you feel as if no one's vision even matters? That's almost how I feel and the season finale is less interesting as a result.
Of course, they can always find a way to change the game yet again and I'm interested in knowing how they do that.
Anyone else think that maybe he would land on the mother therefore causing the "accident"?
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

I was thinking that as well, but then I remembered that they are on a predetermined path due to the fact that this is based on a book so the "risks" arent as big as a totally 100% new idea going in a certain direction.

Definitely thought that. Lol
Even though it didn't manifest for this show doesn't mean he didn't cause it some other way. If there's no way to escape ur destny then it doesn't matter what he did. She still dies. However if he did change the future by doing this, it'll b interesting to see how many effects it has. This is a good show, I hope that unlike Heroes, there prepared for a season2.

I definitely thought he was gonna land on her. It made me wonder how they are going to treat all this. Does this mean visions didn't matter? Will he still cause the death of that lady in some weird way?
I agree that even if she still dies, the future is different. He will never be in that office with the female agent and as a result of his tip, the bird will never crash into the window now that there is tape letting it know that it's just a window.
So one way or another, it will be interesting to see how they treat this whole concept that the future has been changed...

Yeah, but like she said, even if it doesn't crash into that window, it could/would likely crash into another. The same can be said for Celia... just because she doesn't die because of him, doesn't mean she won't die. It will certainly be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Unless you subscribe to the Final Destination school of thought, the future is still changed. Up until this man killing himself, the future was coming together exactly as seen.

I believe that his future is obviously changed. But the lady will still die. The Bird will still hit the window etc. Sort of like Final Destination.
I think that they have done exactly what they wanted to which is spark conversation about how this changes the entire dynamic of the show. It provides them with a seemingly limitless amount of directions they can go now because nobody knows how this will change the future that everyone saw.
Either way, it changed the aspect that he was sitting in the office with the female agent discussing the case. Therefore any breakthrough he would have potentially made in the case will either go undiscovered, or someone else will need to step up and fill in his void.

Well, not for sure how many of us are still watching this, but with what many of us suspected with a lot of the suspect acting and slow dragging story, it looks like Flash Forward has doomed itself (at least temporarily).
