I thought it was as good as the second, which was nowhere near as good as the first. They lost the charm in the series after #1. The first one was funny and incredibly entertaining, but these ones have been rather "soulless" (to use a co-workers description).

Fun movie that's all (classic Bay flick all around), +1hour of good action. People are hyping this movie too much to be good. For me: TF1 still the best and then the other two (yo can put them in whatever order you want).

I hope someone else pick up this franchise and make it more than just a flashy spectacle.

It was decent. I would've liked it better if it wasn't 3 hours.

I really enjoyed it. Just what I thought it would be. Acting wasn't half bad either. Loved Ken Jeong in this too.

The movie was meh. I didnt even think it was that funny. I could hardly understand the new girl in the beginning. The two little bots could not feel the twins shoes as comic relief. I know a lot of people hated the twin bots, but they were my favorite bots in the Fallen.

                      Re: Transformers 3

Saw it earlier today, wish I could have seen it in 3D. I will be able to say more later when I respond to other comments (and begin to nitpick in the same fashion as to why ROTF got some low marks for me), but this was many notches above that first wretched sequel.

Granted, this one still does not even come close to touching the original TF movie. I think one of the things I really liked about the first film is that there were only like ten Autobots and Decepticons in total, and all of them had a unique vehicle that they disguised themselves as (all with different colors too, for the most part). They didn't have weird facial features such as hair, teeth, or show age; they didn't spew oil or bleed fuel, and they just didn't look like large clunks of metal in the end. These last two TF movies suffered from these issues, but holy crap was this one bad-*** in so many ways.

The cool thing was, although we knew to prepare ourselves for a long final battle, the trailer didn't really give away anything else in the movie. The middle hour of the film was absolutely for us to experience for the first time, unlike other films which pretty much include every scene in its trailers nowadays. Although it wasn't the best hour of film I've seen before, there was some very nice action spliced in there that was, dare I say, jaw-dropping.

Before I get into those other "complaints" about where the film was lacking, the one part that kind of irked me was the rushed ending. The film kind of just got to the credits before I could blink, which is kind of disappointing closure when this is presumed to be the final film in the series, or at least with Michael Bay at the helm.

Agreed. Same goes with John Malkovich's character, as well as Alan Tudyk's character. Not that the actors didn't fit or anything (which they kind of didn't, as JM's appearance reminded me of Rainn Wilson's appearance in ROTF), but the characters that were written on screen gave me no sense of appeal, or that they had more character development than people who lasted on screen much longer and later into the film. Hell, even Sam's parents kind of fit into this category in this film.

It's fortunate that they were ever able to get anything entertaining out of this series. The Transformers property is extremely dumb and it's crazy to me that people have expectations for a movie based on it to be anything other than what it is right now.

Ken Jeong was hilarious, in the few seconds he was in it.

I liked the twins in T-2, but I think the little robots in this one were even more hilarious.

I thought it was a good movie. It didn't feel as drawn out as the Fallen did.

I never understood the hate these movies get. The franchise isn't supposed to be Scarface or Training Day. It's a movie about big robots that fight and blow stuff up. All it needs is action and some comic relief to perform its job at entertaining the audience. No one should expect more than that out of any movie like this because it doesn't need anything more.
