Dictation? It's built into iOS 5.1.

went to Best Buy today at lunch, saw the Targus Versavu case and bought it. really like it so far, just wanted to share some thoughts for those in the market for a case...

- the case is very well made and solid. protects the ipad really well.
- the swivel design is great. it really takes everything about my iPad 1 Mophie folio case that i liked, and adds the one thing i felt was missing...portrait mode.
- if you are buying this case for the new iPad...MAKE SURE IT SAYS IPAD 3 on the outside! according to someone on Facebook, it won't fit in the iPad 2 version of this case.

- that said, there is an issue with the first batch of these cases in stores. it is supposed to support the Apple Smart Cover on/off feature, but this is not working. the magnets that trigger this must be not properly aligned. i thought it was just me, but i checked Targus' Facebook page and there were a lot of others with this problem. it appears that Targus is going to replace them all - you email them a copy of your receipt and they will send you a replacement in 6-8 weeks (they need to fix the design and manufacture the updated cases). i emailed their support team, but haven't gotten a reply yet. the wait sucks, but at least you have a case during that time. you are also going to get to keep the original case - so you could sell that one or give it to a friend later.

- the other issue is the size/bulk. but this is an issue with all the folio style cases. personally i don't mind, although i have to admit i did kind of get used to the very slim and lightweight naked iPad over the weekend

The dictation is on the New iPad but it's not on the iPad2, at least I can't find it on mine and I've got 5.1

This is insane!!!! I started a full charge 2 days ago, playing games, Facebook, streaming pandora and playing games and still have 68% left!!! This is what I love.. Did they say they improved the battery in the iPad 3?

There's a larger battery in this one in order to power the retina display and be able to keep the 10 hour battery life.

Apple’s new iPad heats things up – literally

BGR reported on Monday that a number of new iPad owners were encountering overheating issues with their tablets. After a period of usage, the iPads would become so hot that they would display an error message and shut down. While this overheating issue only appears to affect a small percentage of iPad owners, the issue could stem from the fact that Apple’s new tablet runs 18% hotter in general compared to the iPad 2. Infrared temperature readings captured by Tweakers.net after just five minutes of benchmark tests showed that the new iPad was running at 92.5 degrees Fahrenheit, nearly 10 degrees hotter than the iPad 2 after five minutes of the same tests. The new iPad features a new dual-core A5X processor with quad-core graphics as well as a larger battery and a power-gulping Retina Display with four times more pixels than its predecessor, all of which could help explain the heat that tends to build up within the device’s aluminum case. BGR reviewed the new Apple tablet earlier this week and found it to be an improvement over the industry-leading iPad 2 in nearly every way.

Agreed on the battery. It seems like i'M getting more than 10 hours. I have my screen brightness pretty low most of the time so I'm sure that helps.

Does the auto lock work when closing the cover? If so, this is a great deal and I would buy now. The one case I got from BB by Rocketfish was horrible.

this is what will cause me to upgrade from an ipad 2. Retina, LTE, a better processor, etc are all nice. But give me that battery life.
