Oh ok, I see I wasn't the only one asking that question. My g/f said the same thing. It looked like him with a wig and some makeup on his face. He even had about the same height and build too. Makes you wonder...

This one surprised me. Jimmy does have some balls.

Might be the best show on TV right now.

Assuming it keeps up the momentum of last week it'll be all on Sons of Anarchy to show that it's not.

However, after the last season of Mad Men it's clearly cemented itself as the #1 active show.

            Re: Boardwalk Empire

Mad Men is number 1. Sons of Anarchy? No. That's like..maybe top 5. Fun show, kills itself with its nonsensical writing and goofy Walker Texas Ranger action sequences.

Boardwalk has gotten better with each episode. The characters are so engaging, the storylines as well. Watching Al open up to Jimmy about his kid was a wonderful scene, and deeply layered as at the start of it, Jimmy was fearing for his life after opening the door.

It's turning into exactly what everyone hoped, a strong drama, while blending a cool and entertaining gangster aspect.

Good show, but Jimmy and Al have stole just about every episode so far.

anyone know how many episodes are left in the season? I decided to give up HBO right before this started so I missed out. I am looking forward to catching it on Itunes or netflix. They prob wont see it until 5 or 6 months after the season ends.

Too many other actors contribute heavily to this show, including star Buscemi, and the actors that play his new girlfriend and brother. Dabney Coleman is a bit of a drag though.

Totally disagree and I love the characters of Jimmy and Al.

Looks like 12 with the season finale airing December 5th. Seven episodes have aired so far.

So Jimmy's heading to Atlantic City. I wonder how Johnny Torrio is going to feel about losing such a valuable asset, Italian or not?

He will likely be OK with it, thinking this will get him in with AC, allow him to control the alcohol coming in through AC and by extension all the other mafioso depending on that alcohol.

I'm not really sure where the Van Alden stotyline fits here. I think he's hilarious and understand the symbolism behind him, but I still can't figure out how they're going to use him in the grand scheme of things. Really not a guy you root for or against yet (ie Jimmy is clearly the protagonist).

Mrs. Schroeder is a dumb broad and it looks like she will eventually mess things up for Nukky.

Great show though...slowly moving into that The Wire, Sopranos territory.

You gotta have the prohibition police, so the most prominent one may as well be a nutjob. It's hard to root against a guy who is clearly unbalanced, but there appears to be some selfishness in him. Not giving his wife the money and his unwillingness to focus on his assigned job come to mind.

Mrs Schroeder is not dumb. Her political banter with one of Nucky's friends showed that. A touch naive, but not dumb.

I didn't realize that the actress that plays her was Josh Brolin's wife in No Country For Old Men. The southern accent must have threw me off.

Three episodes left. My favorite current show on TV (including Dexter although I haven't seen the most recent Dex).

Great save by Eddie. I think Nucky will have a lot more patience with him in the future.

Lucky Luciano really lived up to his name.

That episode was excellent. Really good on all fronts.

The ending caught me off guard, I was half-expecting Harrow to snipe both of them, until I realized how illogical it would have been for Harrow to randomly be perched at a random location, in hopes that the car drove by. That would of been too unrealistic an ending. Made all the sense in the world for it to happen the way it did.

I loved the scene with Luciano/Jimmy, that was awesome. Luciano's dialog always cracks me up. I always understood that his nickname came from surviving a brutal cutting, that scarred up his face, but I guess there's disputes about that, and he may of actually been called "Lucky" in his younger days (since they're calling him Lucky years before the incident took place). Still an excellent scene to further push the mythology of Lucky Luciano.

Margaret reminded me totally of Carmella Soprano in all of her scenes.

The last three episodes are going to be really awesome. This show has moved up the ranks in just one season, it is a VERY good show. So hard to capture a time period like that, but HBO nailed it again.

I'm just curious to see how they progress through time. Like will next season take place a few years after this season? Or pick up right where it left off? They could tell so much more history if it jumped time by a few years every season.
