No crap. The best thing you could have "ended" the episode with was Bill burying Eric in the concrete and just leave it at that. Having Sookie disappear does nothing for me. Neither does Bill fighting the Queen. What even happened with Eric? Did he just leave the porch and we not see him again? That's how forgetful it was.

The baby on the floor was dumb. Lafayette being completely cool with the "witch" thing was pretty lame. Hoyt's mom thinking she will kill Jessica is lame.

Weak episode, I agree.

I thought it did have a good part though. When Eric revealed that Bill let Sookie get the beatdown just so he could win her over to his side. That was pretty revealing, that could have been the end of the season right there.

At the very least, it solidifies that Bill is actually more evil than good even though that was apparant when he turned Jessica.

I sure hope season 4 isn't Jason running a Hillbilly orphanage and Lafayette getting his witch on.

Eric is my favorite character so I hope we see him ascend to power and bringing back more Godric flashbacks wouldn't hurt either.

Yeah, the whole Jason thing was pretty pathetic. Especially, when dude shot his "uncle-dad" in the face then didn't do anything to Jason. WTH? And the whole "I've got to go, it's up to you now, Jason" was about the poorest writing that I've seen in a minute. Add to that the fact that Jason, who used to be a player, is now all hung up on and in love with some hillbilly chick, who look's like an inbred, IRL and it's just...... bad.

IDK, I may be falling off the bandwagon but, I'll still watch.

Only think else to say is bring on Boardwalk Empire!!!

Yeah, Jason is going down the same road Stiffler did in American Pie. From Jock/Player to comedy relief baffoon.

I do have to say though thta they cast the perfect chick for Crystal. She has Methlab Trailer Park written all over her.

Boardwalk Empire looks pretty awesome. I can't wait.

I agree that this season finale was weak. I think the whole Hoyt's mom trying to kill Jessica is stupid, but I think some way it will backfire.

Honestly, I can see what's going to happen from a mile away.

Wouldn't she just have to give Hoyt some blood and he's fine again. It would be a wooden bullet too.

On a side note, Godric went up in flames pretty quick. It seems even with the fairy blood, those two would have been up a creek. They were laying on Tarmac in the middle of the afternoon. I love though that the king looked like a human cigar. That was pretty well done.

I was cracking up at Russell and Eric verbally abusing each other while they're dying. All and all, the second half of this season was very mediocre, after a strong start with tons of possibilities. They rushed the show very much towards the end of the season, and seemingly just wanted to move onto next season's storylines instead of making us care about what was in front of us.

I was glad Russell and Eric both made it through the finale. Both are awesome characters. I read that Russell is supposed to appear later next season, so he's not gone.

Hopefully they won't be annoying like the season with Maryann

Wonder if they'll be as irrelevant as the werevolves were this sesaon.

I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Alceid? Not sure I haven't read the books. I wonder if that was it for the werewolves... that was such a weak storyline.. although maybe in this series wolves are just that much inferior to vamps.

Also who is Ruben? When Bill calls Ruben to kill Pam after Bill tried to kill Eric at the construction site. Pam killed him I guess lol.

Alcide is a full cast member now so I'm assuming he will be back.

Alcide is already confirmed for season 4. The new characters that are returning are that witch lady working at Sam's whose name I forget, Crystal (ugh), Alcide, Tommy (Sam may or may not have shot him), Jesus, and I believe Debbie.

Yeah, they've gone into season 5 of The Wire and the last few seasons of 24 mode where for some reason they ignore the most interesting elements of the show by a wide margin (the vampires, their role in the world, and Eric being awsome) to show stupid, boring plotlines that either advance mediocre characters (Sam and Lafayette [who at one point was great but now is uncharacteristic]) or downright stupid plots (Jason and the demon baby).

Much like 24 and season 5 of The Wire, there's a great season somewhere in the show, but it involves ignoring 30-40% of the show.
