Yeah, this movie hasn't gotten good reviews hardly at all. Maybe since expectations are not low, I'll enjoy it.

I should have stuck to my original plan... come home tomorrow after work and play The Last of Us

Just got home from it. Thought it was terrible. Better than Superman Returns, but that's not saying much. There were some cool Easter eggs though...yeah, that's my positives.

Wow just got home and I loved it. I'm a fan of Chris Reeve and his Superman films, but I think too many people are going in holding it as the gold standard and not letting this movie be what it is. A fresh start on Superman. It did take a bit of the Batman Begins route but it was amazing. This movie gave us things that other Superman adaptations have not given us including his decisions on what he has to do. I love Superman Returns as it's a nostalgic reverb to the Donner films and my childhood but as those movies was for that generation Man Of Steel is this generations Superman. There will be time for lots of debate and I'm sure I'm doing what I don't want to do and that's being a victim of the moment but I enjoyed the crap out of this movie from start to finish and can't wait to go see it again. Time will tell where this movie ranks amongst other superhero movies.

I'll be seeing the film on saturday can't wait. I am a big superman fan and I don't expect it to follow the comics and mythos perfectly as I seperate film from the comic pages. Plus it boils down to if you like the character of Superman or not. I'll chime back in once I see it and will give my 2 cents. I do hope I enjoy it.

We'll see really wish I could go tomorrow but most the screenings are in 3-d at my cinema. Only 1 showing in 2-d but it's late at night so will wait til saturday at noon. My eye doctor said I am unable to get the 3-d effect as my left eye is off centre a bit.

I'm thinking of going to see it in IMAX 3D Saturday, but the closest IMAX theater to me is in Pensacola about an hour away.

Everyone says 3D isn't worth it and no scenes were shot in IMAX format.

Yeah the reviewer at IGN stated that in his comments saying it really didn't add anything to the experience.

I didn't think this was awful but it wasn't very good and there was pretty much no reason for Zack Snyder to be involved as it looked nothing like a Zack Snyder movie. The special effects were the worst I've seen since X-Men First Class and the fight scenes were boring as hell. I don't like the Superman character so I wasn't expecting much from the story but I did want to see a new Zack Snyder movie and this was a disappointment in that regard.

I thought it was fantastic, probably the best superhero movie i've seen.

I enjoyed that they showed the struggles he went through as a kid with having the superpowers, which is something made me love the Smallville tv series. Speaking of I enjoyed the 2 characters from the show(granted minor ones) that had small roles in the movie.

They couldn't have picked a better villain to start out with, Zod was perfect so that Superman could learn more of his people and accept the burden protecting Earth. I'm very much interested in seeing where they go villain wise for the next movie, as I have hard time imagining that Luthor would be the main villain with how they are taking this series. Doomsday or Brainiac(maybe paired up with Luthor) would make the most sense given the heavy focus on Krypton in this movie as i'm assuming Darkseid is probably more suited for Justice League

I thought the story flowed very well, the action was pretty good, and I enjoyed that there was no Daily Planet Clark until the very end as well as no kryptonite.

The subtle Lexcorp trucks and Wayne Enterprise satellite were also good little easter eggs for the future.
