When we heard the news of Costner being cast as Jonathan Kent I said (and some of you may remember ) that Diane Lane should play Martha Kent. Snyder announced last night that Costner has finally been cast as the role of Pa Kent. No surprise since his name is the only one that was out there for the past month. With Zack Snyder confirming that Viggo Mortensen would not be in the up-coming Superman movie, LatinoReview.com claims to have received word that Edgar Ramirez (The Bourne Ultimatum) is being looked at to play a villain in the new movie.
I don't know if it's for General Zod or another villain role. The secrecy surrounding this project is that tight. I also don't personally know if Edgar auditioned, or his name is simply being tossed around, or the producers have gotten into it with Edgar's reps.

Good choice. I think she has the right personality for it from what I've seen (still haven't seen The Fighter though).
The cast is looking solid so far.
