    Re: Superman Man Of Steel

Overall I would have preferred they stay with the classic look but I still like the new suit and grows on me the more I see it. I grew up on the Reeves films so it's a bigger adjustment for me as well. I could live with no red trunks if they would at least put a red belt like in the new comic to give it a top and bottom look instead it looks like a one piece. I think the biggest reason for changes to the costume is because of the on going legal battle between the Siegel family, the WB & DC comics. They could be preparing for the future in case they can't use certain things associated with the character.

Filming has wrapped in Plano, Il I think they are off to Chicago for a few scenes now before heading to Canada. Here is one of the final shots in Plano Superman battling Faora

Pretty sure that pic is photoshopped guys.

The cape is the one thing I really like about the new costume though. It's very regal.

I really, really like the costume. Visually, this movie should be stunning for a Superhero picture...hopefully Snyder and company can make the actual story just as good.

The Man Of Steel cast and crew are heading to the city of Chicago next, with filming reportedly taking place there from September 7-17.

Word is that filming for Daily Planet exterior shots will take place at the Board of Trade building, with the crew having set up base in the West Monroe Street/Lower Wacker Drive area.

Michael Cerveris Up For Superman’s Lex Luthor

Character actor Michael Cerveris, best known for playing The Observer on the FOX television show ‘Fringe’, can be added to the list of names being considered for the role of Superman’s arch-nemeses Lex Luthor, however, the self-proclaimed “Greatest criminal mind of our time” wont likely appear until the Man of Steel follow-up.

Director Zack Snyder is obviously a big fan of J.J. Abrams sci-fi series, Snyder used ‘Fringe’s Casting Director Michelle Allen to cast Man of Steel and Sucker Punch in Vancouver, Canada. Currently in production under the title “Autumn Frost,” ‘Man of Steel’ will film in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island from late September through to the end of January 2012.

Interesting choice and I guess a sequel is already a go no matter how good or bad it goes. Why didn't Returns get the same treatment?

Billy Zane would be perfect as Lex Luthor.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

That's what I keep hearing everybody say I don't know if I know any of his work or not, I'll have to do some research.

                            He was the Phantom.

He was also Kate's boyfriend/fiance in Titanic.

And he was one of Biff's goons in Back to the Future 1 & 2.

Oh yeah he played a pretty hateable character in that so yeah I could see him being Lex.

The best on-screen Lex for me is still Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville). One thing I would like to see if they bring Lex back into the movies is the genius/awesome business man version of him. Enough of the kookiness that originated with the Gene Hackman portrayal and then a slightly muted version of that with Kevin Spacey.

Lex Luthor is his greatest nemesis but I think they've failed to portray that in the movies so far.
