The C9 is a fantastic TV, if you can still find it, but stock will be running out soon.

Scott, my local Best Buy has an open box 65 inch C9 for just over $1200. I have a 55 inch in my man cave and love it. It's marked in fair condition. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger but since it's curbside pick up right now only then I'm a little hesitant since I can't see it first. I don't mind things like scuffs or scratches on the back since it's going on the wall anyway. I assume they wouldn't sell it at all if there's anything wrong with the screen and I can just refuse to pick it up if it's anything too bad.

What's your experience with items marked as fair instead of excellent or satisfactory and can I still get the protection plan on it?

I've had a decent experience with it, you can still get the protection, which I definitely recommend on any TV.

Great price but am sure they are selling their floor model which will have tons of hours on it. First thing I would do is run USB color slides to check for burn in.....If it passes that test you should be good

It will still do 4k 120hz at 10 bit which is what matters. It just cant do it at 12 bit which requires chroma sub sampling. No games next gen are going to do that even on pc so that should not be a big deal.

That appears to be what I've seen online also that it won't really matter.

Good, cheap wall mount for a 65 C9? Preferably not flush mounted as I have L/R speakers that are about 15" in depth.

monoprice is always good, but there are plenty of options now, sanos(?) at bestbuy isn't bad as long as you can get them at $100 price

Yep I have 2 of those. They are worth the extra money with all the easy adjustments you can make that you won't get on the cheaper versions. They aren't worth $150, but <$100 is good.

They make it very easy to make small adjustments to get the TV level or move it up, down, left, right.

I personally use Audioquest cables, but you'll have people argue with you that say HDMI cables don't matter.

Those are way too costly for digital cables. Monoprice does a great job of producing quality without all the overhead. With digital signals, you either get it all or nothing. You don't have to get all the extra shielding, etc.

My TVs all use the generic HDMI that my cable provider gave. It's all fine for me.

I still remember when I bought one of my TVs, the guy there was going hard on his commission trying to sell an HDMI cable as if theres no point even buying the TV without that super high end cable. I'm just thinking "relax, you're getting TV commission already, dont blow this sale by trying to push some $80 cable add on to a $1000 purchase."

I think it was more to the salesman being forced to push the HDMI cable because the markup was huge and the commission was probably better than the TV.

Most people have no use for expensive cables as they are doing 6ft or less and nothing that will interfere with a digital signal. When you are going in wall, across rooms, etc you pay to make sure it lasts. All the stores were terrible trying to push cables because they cost nothing and are selling for at least 5 times the regular price.
