Hey Scott, would you recommend a 48" CX or a 55" C9? I know the 48" comes out in a couple weeks but was wondering if you have any experiences with the CX tech and could suggest something for me.

I’m not a fan of LGs non-OLEDs. I’d take the 900H.

Thanks Scott! I originally focused in on the CX for the 48" but Ive decided I'll just get a 55" like i originally wanted. Sounds like a lot of people have been saying the C9 is the better buy, but you just made my decision final.

The CX supports G Sync. Free sync is the AMD version of G Sync. It basically sync your console or PC GPU to render at the same speed as your TV or monitor.

If you plan on hooking a gaming PC to your tv and you have a Nvidia GPU, get a CX. If you strictly console gaming or have a AMD GPU based gaming PC get the C9.

I don't play games on PC just ps4/ps5. So right now the 77 inch GX is the one in the lead for me. The more research I do on the c9/cx/gx the more fuzzy it gets.

The Differences of LG GX and CX
There are few differences between LG GX and CX that we can see in the similarities & differences table above. Let’s talk more about those differences together.

1. Gallery Design

The first and the most important different of LG GX and CX comes from the design of those two TV models. LG GX comes with gallery design while LG CX only comes with standard design. With Gallery design, LG GX has minimalist bezel while it’s very thin. Gallery design allows LG GX to looks beautiful when it’s wall mounted while It also can deliver excellent picture quality.

2. Speaker System

We can find that the speaker system integrated with LG GX and CX are different. LG GX comes with 4.2Ch 60W speaker system, while LG CX comes with 2.2Ch 40W speaker system. Basically, LG GX with 4.2Ch 60W speaker system is able to bring more powerful surround sound than LG CX with 2.2Ch 40W speaker system. But for sure, we can easily improve the sound quality of those two TVs using additional soundbar. Those two TVs already come as WiSA Ready TV models using additional dongle so that we can attach additional Wisa ready wireless speaker conveniently.

3. Price

In the price side, we can find that LG GX is usually offered at the higher price than LG CX. How much is the price difference between those two TV models? It’s important for us to look at their price before we can find their latest price difference since TV prices are changing from time to time.

Hey Scott, I think Im gonna roll with the CX anyways. I have a family friend who works at ABT and can get me a discount, and they dont have C9s in stock anymore.

All thats really left to decide is whether I buy the 48" or 55".

I messed up my old 23" LCD a while back by accidentally pushing in the screen when trying to reach around for the plug. Long story, but the point is it's not functional anymore. Anyway, I'd like a similarly-sized LED or OLED for my garage. I think I can only go as large as 27" to fit where it needs to fit.

What's the 4K run on those? Note that I probably won't even be able to take advantage of 4K stuff on there, but whatever. Might as well get the best technology out there, and I'm sure it's cheap regardless.
