You'd really have to love 3D but hate 3D glasses to pay 8-9 times more money. Or you just got it like that. In either case, I wanna be like you when I grow up.

Blzer... yeah man im not interested in all of that anymore... I Love the plasma picture though, the colors are unmatched

I remember when HDTVs used to be between 11-14k... now this tv is 11k

They're going backwards its not that serious, plus

For whatever reason the Toshiba brand has been in the dumps lately. I dont know what happened but we had two of their LCDs at work stop working for no good reason at all as soon as the warranty ended

Now I see they sell their tvs a bit cheaper than the competition but I hear no one saying they're going to get a Toshiba now

Did you say you wear prescription glasses?

Well so do I and I hate wearing 3D glasses over my own glasses in movie theaters. And I don't like the fact that I'd be sitting in my own place wearing 3D glasses.

Not saying I'd get the TV at that price point.

Just wondering when glasses free 3D TVs were making their way to the US if anyone knew.

Well, it's not that big of a deal for me. With my Harmony One, I have it programmed so I have to press like one button to make it happen.

By the end of this year, I won't even worry about it. The rate at which these televisions are cheapening in price, I wouldn't be surprised if I was already shopping again for a new one, just because.

Yep, main thing is I want to be comfortable with what I have

No matter what I get it wont be bigger than the projector anyway so whatever

I have the Panny VT30 65 inch and have zero issues with image retention. When it does show after long hours and of using a game like the show with the stuck score bug it shows a bit but only when you run green slides

and it goes away within minutes....Nothing like playing on a plasma for much better contrast and better anti input lag

The tv I told you about is a beast and will blow away any other besides the VT50 or Elite set

Anyway, in the beginning (and after about 200 hours of break-in), there was definitely IR. I noticed it with COD's ammo, where I could see the "60" in the bottom right corner and all of the little hashes. I also noticed it with movies that had a letterbox ratio.

After maybe 2,000 hours of use, I don't think I notice it anymore, but I'm not positive either, so I just try and not take any chances. I know what my downstairs TV has, and I don't ever want mine to have anything like that.
The scroll bar thing is just a gimmick and does nothing to your plasma The best way to remove IR is to run the slides while you eat or play on your pc and only after a week or two of not running them

I am against doing it now honestly, I dont feel like going through hours and hours of tweaks just to do normal things... its either LCD or LED for me all the way

I never broke in my tv and have zero issues with burn in or IR....First day I got it i played games and have been playing games at contrast of 98 and warm 1

I cant ever go back to LED or LCD and their terrible viewing angles and less then stellar blacks and colors

I use to be big on LED but once I got into plasma I cried because of how incredible the PQ is

This isn't meant to be offensive, but I won't listen to this logic. It's not a "gimmick," it's a tool just like slides are. I could run the slides, but they take more commands that would be annoying like me or 23 to do each time.

check that, i meant the pixel shift is a gimmick...But the scrolling bar does take much longer to work than the slides and the slides allow you to view the IR if is there much easier

Sometimes in a white background you cannot see the IR like you would in a green slide

On my Panny the method to bring up the scroll bar takes just as long as the slides

I have the slides on a usb on the back of my tv all the time in the usb port and just hit menu=picutes=slides and done

For bar I have to go into main menu then scroll down to the section for set up and then go into image retention tools and etc etc

Well, I'll agree with you to an extent. I mean it actually does shift pixels, and it's better for something small like font showing ammo in COD to move around a bit than be static. Personally, there's a good reason to have it still.

Sometimes in a white background you cannot see the IR like you would in a green slide
Agreed and understood. I always check for this still, even though I don't always run slides.

On my Panny the method to bring up the scroll bar takes just as long as the slides
I have it programmed on my remote to bring up the scroller. The slides are saved on my PS3, meaning I have to change everything on both the TV and the PS3.

I have the slides on a usb on the back of my tv all the time in the usb port and just hit menu=picutes=slides and done
I've had that, but the USB drive I had it in had so many folders, that it was just a hassle. Plus, with the PS3 I use a "fade" feature, so it sort of blends into the next color, which is kind of cool.

Just picked up a DENON 2312CI receiver for $429 from BB via open-box. No remote or manual. But who needs those when you have a Harmony & the Internet...

I need to stop going into stores when I have time to kill.....

We'll I knew it was too good to be true Receiver is not working properly. Tons of HDMI Hand Shake Issues with my Blu Ray. With out the remote I can't access certain menus as the Harmony Database doesn't correctly give me those menus.

I was just telling my wife, it's like my Panny BD-65 doesn't want anyone but my ONKYO 605. This is the 2nd receiver I've tried that won't hand shake with the Panny...

I'm so ready for a new receiver....
