Super easy. Comes with the power cord and 1 set of RCA (red/white) audio cables. Just plug one end into your blu ray player and the other end into the sound bar.

Best sound will require an optical cable (check to make sure your tv has a digital out if using it for surround sound on satellite or cable). A blu ray player should have an optical out.

If you decide to buy a sub later you'll need a subwoofer cable as well.

Both cables are pretty cheap at amazon and monoprice. No more than $15-20 to get both shipped.

Are you open to other models? I ask because with LG LCD they use 2 different panels & when purchasing its like a lottery. 1 panel is better than the other.

The better panel always has a chance for less problems (clouding, screen uniformity)

Right now Sharp is making some really nice Tv's. The only issue is they don't make a 55 inch. I believe their better models start @ 60

Also if you can find 1 the Sony HX929 is a great TV. It's back light with Local-Dimming giving you an great picture without the issues I mentioned above.

So apparently Best Buy Geek Squad now offers free home theater calibration for premier silver members. I have my settings mostly to what 55 has for his television, with some tweaks here and there (I've tried numerous, and his just look the most accurate to what my TV can offer).

I know everyone will recommend hitting up Chad B. to get professional calibration, but Geek Squad can't hurt for free, can they? Do they use tools so they can show how accurate they get doing ISF calibration?

Just wondering what you guys think. Again, this is free.

Do they go into the service menu? That would be my main concern. You can easily brick a flat panel if you don't know what you're doing.

I feel like they don't, which is where I know I'm safe.

Even if they do, I've typed down most all of my service menu settings, because I've used it before (as a calibration recommendation, which didn't pan out).

I tell you what though, it's still a scary menu to be in. You're in there, and your heart is in your lungs and your thumbs are sweating, because apparently there are some things that are affected when pressing Left when you mean to return to the previous menu. It's just freaky haha. I don't think I'll go back into it, and if Geek Squad asked to, I'd tell them no.

Even Chad B. doesn't even need to go into the service menu on the NEWER models (2010 and forward) to get to everything he needs to. At least on Samsung plasmas anyway. He had to go into it on my LN40A750 though.

Man glad to see this post. After talking to my buddies friend he had a 55 inch Toshiba for $850 a 55 inch proscan for $750 and a couple of 60 inch plasmas for $1200 which I said I did not want to hassle with

Went to fry's and saw an LG plasma 60 inch with built in blue ray player free three year warranty HDMI cable also...sounds great but they were practically giving it away for $1099 but again it was a plasma so I skipped

Saw a 60 inch sharp led 3d Aquos quattron with apps, dlna, the works... $1300 so I asked for it. They said they were out but they had the better model of that TV @240hz instead of 120hz so I grabbed it quick and brought it home which will be oerfecr for my game room just moving into my new house

Those guys were annoying though continually trying to sell me their fry's warranty then wall mounts then sound bars and they just wouldn't stop so I was like just give me the TV so I can go.

Haven't unpacked it yet but will hook everything up this week.gonna use the company gift cards to get my own sound bar system to eliminate more wires and be ready for sleeping dogs and 2k13

Who makes the best 55' Smart 3D TV? I'm looking to spend 1,500 to 2,000 at the most.
                                Thanks
