The new Panasonic plasma line is out. I believe there's a 50" model for $999.99 right now. Otherwise, you should be able to find last years models priced pretty good. If you go LED, read up on the input lag on the TV before you buy, AVS is a good place to start.

Nah, it's priced the same at other retailers, don't worry. It's ok, I can afford it and want to have a good looking image.

I would hope so. I may step the sound down one notch, but remember, I'm not actually paying those prices. IF you guys knew how much this system total is going to cost me, you'd be able to understand why I'm going all out.

Bah, I'd just go old school and put up some white construction paper on my wall.

I'm assuming authentic has a pretty nice discount.

I actually tried to look it up. I really am wondering what the technology behind it is.

Yeah, I get a solid discount. I get less of a discount on TVs so a projector makes sense to me. Ill be around 7-9 thousand for this set up.

After getting a red line in this television, I finally received a new television about 2 weeks ago. Panasonic sent someone to repair the first tv I purchased but he figured out that it was a bad panel. The repair company Panasonic sent actually gave me a loner television to use until Panasonic sent them the new set. The whole process took about a month for me to get a new television. I think a month was a little ridiculous but it was worth the wait since the picture on the set is so damn good.

Anyways Panasonic actually ended up giving me the P50ST60 instead, which was nice since it was the newer model of the tv I bought.

We've had the TC-P50UT50 ourselves. Man, the thing is amazing.

Our first HD TV was some Toshiba DLP - which was **** compared to this thing.

I'm glad I went with Plasma.

How's the lag input on it? My 55st50 is ok, I thought my old 60s30 was maybe a little better lag input wise.

I had been cautions on switching to Plasma and have 2 LCD televisions in my house. However after reading this thread and checking out some reviews, I finally decided to go with a Plasma. What the hell took me so long to switch to Plasma?
