Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
It basically makes the whites more white. I tried it on low looks better off. Adds to much white to the overall picture to me. I have also changed my color gamut to standard from wide, colors look more natural."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Okay guys I'm seriously thinking of getting a tv. Newegg with preferred card or anywhere else with my mastercard. I'm going to be using it for gaming 90% of the time. It will also be used as my computer monitor as well.
I was looking to spend between 400 to 600 dollars however I know that I may have to go out of my price range. I was basically looking for bang for you buck deals. It doesn't need to be 3D and/or have all the apps on it. Just a straight up relatively good gaming tv. I prefer LCD and looking for probably 32 inches at the smallest.
Any suggestions or would it be better waiting until black Friday/cyber monday?PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I am a fan of the LG brand. I currently have a 42" 1080p lcd tv and it looks and works great. I did have a 32" 720p LG for 6 years before it it died but served me well. My 42" has a nice amount of inputs, 3 hdmi's which is great as I have a PS3 & PS4 and my cable box is also hdmi. I did use the trumotion for quite awhile but eventually turned it off as it produced to much halo & artifact effects. My eyes had to adjust for a few days with it off but now I wouldn't go back. Here's a pic of my tv model # is 42CS570. I got it about 2 years ago.Attached Files"If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I don't since it usually ends up dimming the screen. I do have auto off on so in case I forget to turn the TV off after I turn off the box.Comment

39 inch for 329 dollars. I may increase to 42 inch for 399 dollars.
Also looking at this due to me having a Newegg card and being able to get 12 months interest free to play it off: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16889005451Last edited by Candyman5; 08-14-2014, 03:48 PM.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Yeah its better than using my Mastercard where interest accumulates if the thing isnt paid off with the monthly payment.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

I figured the extra money would be counters by the extra 6 months I would get interest free. Thoughts?PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os
