For around that price, I'd go with the Vizio M Series 43"...$550 on Best Buy...

Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread

My 5 year old LG Plasma had a small vertical line down the center of the tv so after talking to a few people they told me that it was probably time to replace it. I was hoping to get more bang for my buck and figured to check Craigslist before going to a major retailer in hopes of finding someone who may have Xmas buyers remorse. Well I lucked up. Guy posted this tv for $800. After going back and forth we settled on $500. I couldn't believe it. I was skeptical at first but when he text a copy of his the receipt from Dec 2015 I flew over to his house.

My plan was to go with a 50-55 inch Viz/LG but I just couldn't pass on this

Why would someone willingly take a $1,000 L? Either you found a major sucker or...

I don't pry into people's financial business. He told me his asking price, I countered and he accepted. Showed me proof for warranty purposes because I won't buy a tv off Craigslist without being able to register it in my name and warranty.

Guy could have lost his job or numerous other reasons. It's none of my business. He was selling and I was buying.

Damn that's good you got a 70 inch tv. I'm also looking for a 65 inch tv or bigger. I currently have a 50 inch tv in the living room, but I'm going to wait for the 2016 model TVs to jump.

You got a good deal for sure but you must know that this tv is notorious for having major issues. If you got the insurance under your name then great but based on feedback I have received and reviews from customers the tv has major issues after a few months. Keep an eye out

Does gaming (ps4/X1) on a 4Ktv look any different from gaming on a great 1080p set? I have a Vizio 1080p E series thinking of giving that to my brother and getting the M Series 4K.

I have a 4K samsung and it does nothing for making ps4 or xb1 games look better then 1080p.

1080P tv would be ideal as it matches the reference pixel set. I love my 4K for the content on netflix and amazon. Also later this year we will start to get 4K blue ray movies.

Until games are produced in 4K, no.

I read the reviews after the fact. With the warranty I'm not to concerned. To be honest I could have read the reviews first and I still would have snagged it at that price.

Why would lower input lag matter to you if you said you game on your monitor? I want to see what these companies bring for 2016... Need at least a 65 inch in my living room. Rocking a Panasonic 50 inch plasma which has awesome picture quality, but need something bigger.

Only reason I game on a monitor is the input lag. But at 23 ms input lag on a 65 inch tv works for me. That is more then good enough to play with little input lag and the immersion you get from gaming on a big screen. I am not a competitive pro player so 23ms input lag on a huge screen is glory for me
