Got a question for you man...

Will you be using your tv mostly for streaming? 4K Blurays? Gaming?

And if not, then I'll take it back to Costco and get another one that same day. Not my fault if it's cracked right? I'm not going to open it at the store so I wouldn't even know if my doing did anything to it or not tbh.

I typically have stuff delivered but these TVs are like a big chore to get delivered from what I've read, especially Costco. The one complaint I read in the reviews of the TV is the shipping company is awful, they took too long (near 10 days in most cases), offer no tracking and then when you finally got the tv there was no guarantee it would not be messed up and you'd have to go through it all over again.
I have hauled 2, 65" units now (the KS8000 and my Vizio P)....Laid them both flat (in our Toyota 4Runner)....No issues whatsover....Yeah, I drove with the utmost care to avoid potholes, took turns with razor sharp accuracy, and actually obeyed the speed laws to get home, but it was worth it. LOL!

If you have decided on the P-Series, I'm really lookin' forward to your review and thoughts....Seriously man....I'll warn you that in store, it was absolutely not impressive whatsover...BUT when I got it home, I was seriously blown away! And on day 3 now....Still super impressed and finishing work early just to get in more 4K demo time....

Let me know if you need any Youtube links to demo, and I'll pass them along so your jaw can drop at the pure awesomeness!

But again, if you get the Sammy, you will also be impressed I'm sure....

Probably 70% gaming (PS4 Pro and this fall Scorpio) 20% movie watching and 10% television watching.

I tend to stream every thing really, I have Netflix, Hulu and Amazon video. However I've heard some folks buy UHD discs to get the best picture. My internet is 70mbps though and pretty fast so I'll probably be ok until Scorpio comes out. At that point I'll probably buy some UHD discs every so often.

With 70 mbps, you'll be fine. People just recommend 25.

For those of you who have the P65-C1 were you able to get HDR to work on HDMI 5?

I ask because I see videos that say people are having to use some weird workaround to get HDR to work.

This is one video and it seems to me the guy just basically ends up using HDMI 1 to fix the problem but isn't HDMI 5 the one to use for the least lag?

Oh I think this is the issue, so you just have to enable the hdmi color subsampling and then HDR works?

"open the VIZIO SmartCast remote control app, tap Settings and press Inputs, then HDMI Color Subsampling, and then enable subsampling for the HDMI port the HDR-enabled Blu-ray player is connected to."

Which option should one enable to get the best picture and HDR?

                    YUV or RGB?

On youtube a guy said it's YUV but in the previous video the guy said it was RGB.

I'm assuming YUV is the same thing as YCbCR, in which case is the limited color spectrum (16-239 I believe instead of 0-255). My guess is if you have 10- or 12-bit color and HDR is meant to expand that color range, you would want RGB. If it's the same color spectrum as we're normally used to, keep it at YUV. I'm not informed enough to know which one it is.

HDR isn't supported on that hdmi port. I posted that on my ks8000 vs Vizio P post. Only HDMI 1-4 support HDR but those HDMI ports are 50.8 ms input lag at 1080 60fps and 43.8ms input lag at 4k 60fps.

Yeah it's curved. I mostly got it because it doesn't have the bezel seperating issue the flat does. Oh and it also was $100 cheaper than the non-curved which made a difference too, LOL.

So guys, got everything set up here and i'm loving it all, but a couple of questions:

                                1. I like the Samsung Smart Remote and it controls everything but I cannot figure out how to get it to adjust the volume on my Onkyo receiver. Right now it's going from the TV optical out to the Onkyo and the sound works ok, it's in 5.1 and such, but I can't figure out how to get the remote to adjust my sound. Right now when I move the volume rocker it just shows the symbol on the TV showing that it's optical out (indicating it cannot adjust volume).

On the DirecTV remote there's an actual setting to tie volume to the AVR but I cannot find anything like that in the Samsung settings.

                                2. I miss having an INFO button. Half the time the picture looks great but when I want to see the resolution and etc I cannot figure out how to do it, driving me nuts.
