Does OLED have clouding issues like LCD? I have a lcd tv that I got a few years back but it has some clouding. Is there anyway to improve this? When I wipe my screen it moves the clouding effect around can never get rid of it.

We'll unfortunately I got a bad panel. Major clouding. I was more worried about the bezel being bent as that was an issue with this display. Gonna have to take it back to BB. Arggghhhhhh

            What is "clouding"?

Haven't heard that mentioned in here before.

It's a term used when on a solid black screen you see patches of dim white areas (looking like clouds in the sky)

IE: This what I'm seeing with the TV is just got, even after the load screen which is what you see below

Thanks... I don't have major pristine 4K "needs". Plus, this change in HiSense's warranty soon is almost making up my mind for me.... that.... and we need another car.

Yea, that's bad Joe. Take that one back and get another one especially after spending that much.

As far as LCD's go, isn't that a product of edge-lit displays only?

3 short videos comparing the Samsung KS8000 to the Vizio P and he pretty much sums it up on how I feel since I owned both these sets. The videos might be helpful to those that are interested in either TVs.

                        Starting to look for TVs.

Looking for something 300-500 bucks and have been monitoring Slickdeals for something I can pounce on if I get a good deal on something. Looking at Samsung or Sony if I can help it but I don't know if I can do that at that price.

Anyway, I'd like to cast from my Windows 10 laptop to my TV with no problem. Is that something that can be done with any new smart TV? Sometimes I'll pull up casting on my devices and it'll only show my Roku 3 as available (which is fine because it's in my room but shouldn't it cast to any smart TV in the house?)

And I also read about input lag but am curious as to whether it matters for my potential usage of casting live game streams/shows/movies to my TV. Currently I cast my laptop environment (and phone and tablet) to my Roku 3 which is connected to a TV that I got like 10 years ago and it's pretty slow and sketchy. Always dropping, mouse moves slow if I'm using the Roku as a second screen, etc. Is that a Roku 3 thing, a TV thing? Can't be a computer thing cuz this thing is pretty beastly and brand new.

I also want something with Bluetooth so that I can listen late at night. Any bluetooth capable buds will do if the TV has bluetooth, right?

Currently I'm looking at https://www.samsclub.com/sams/49-uhd...rod21031130.ip and trying to price match with Best Buy since the SD guys have had some luck doing so.

All LCD's have that issue. Some worst than others. Even FALD when Local-Dimming is not on, has clouding.

I'm running the electrical and low voltage for my future media room. I'm trying to decide between a projector or a TV. The room is in my basement and has no windows so I don't have to worry about other light affecting the picture quality. Any recommendations are appreciated.

So I caved last night after month's of looking. I bought LG's 65 inch OLED (oled65e6p). It went on sale, plus I had a little help from a friend who works there and Uncle Sam (tax return). Last bought a TV, Samsung DLP, 11 years ago. Super excited to get into 4k world, HRD world, 3d World etc.

Also bought 4K/3d player with streaming stuff.
